Navys new working uniform...One Whole outfit costs 474.00
And this is what they are suppose to be wearing everyday...it replaced an outfit that cost about 50.00

And I wish someone would tell me why the boys really need to be camouflaged to the ship!

Its one of the Most ......ed military decisions ever, there is a monopoly on who makes uniforms one and only one company has the contract ...but it looks cool so I guess it doesnt matter. right

those uniforms are expensive! I was in the Army almost 9 yrs and we changed regular duty uniforms and physical training uniforms and had to buy both. The only good thing I can say about that Navy uniform is at least they don't have to wear it all the time and have multiple uniforms to use on a daily basis. The only way you don't have to buy these crazy expensive uniforms is if you come in the Military AFTER the change, then you get them issued to you....otherwise we get our puny clothing allowance each year that is supposed to cover the upkeep and buying of new uniforms....of which it doesn't by farrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!

Snit.....clothing allowance is like 260 something for enlisted........just spent 370.00 on ONE shirt, pants and a jacket. (not including the boots, tshirts, blooser thingys, hat and navy/name tags)
I was looking at the jacket...cost 171.00. It's a bloody windbreaker. Nothing That special no Kevlar, no secret mission communication, missile avoiding device, no flotation device, hidden ninjas, not even a MP3 player!
It's just a windbreaker in blue digital camo...Oooooo

And he is going to wear this ON the ship....with all the wet paint, oil, grease. Thank god he isnt an engineer.
IDK how many uniforms I screwed up on board...but it was a huge issue as coveralls were a whole 30 bucks.

Sorry will stop now...just ticked about it all. Married to a sailor Not a bloody millionaire.
