Need 2 more referals to get access to the classifieds, Chelle has agreed to vouch for me, I know I haven't been active much lately, but there has to be a couple of the orriginal crew left that know me.
I have to laugh,...I helped get the classifieds going when it first started, same with PiF, now I can't get in.
No biggie, I'm sure there are two more members that know me out there somewhere.

@ loxy > even though the verification process was a worthwhile undertaking and i still do support it, it did not prevent or deter large-scaled fraud. all that it does is verify that there is a real person behind the ecf name with a valid physical location, and that i can vouch for in karr's case. there will never be a way to guarantee somebody's integrity or honesty.

I think you missed the entire point. I'm not saying Karr isn't a good guy - he is. I'm saying I don't know him personally nor can I verify he is "a real person behind the ecf name with a valid physical location" I don't know his real name even or his address for that matter. If you can verify that information that's great. He should have sent you (and anyone else that can verify that) a PM. Period. We can't allow him or anyone else (and to be fair you can't allow one without allowing anyone) to pop in to pif and ask people at random to verify them because they post here. You yourself KNOW there's some very kind and generous people here and its not fair to ask them randomly to verify someone they don't really know. Requests of that type should be in PM - I mean seriously if you don't know a member well enough to pm them how can you expect them to vouch for you?

i know there have been setbacks and you try your best to keep it all on an even keel. so maybe it would have been better for karr to just post if there's still anybody around who traded or pifed with him and then follow up with a pm. because if his brain is like mine, a lot of times i don't remember an ecf name until it's right under my nose

A couple days of April showers coming through. Time to get some grass seed, spread it.
I know, some of us are sicker than others I'm looking at a small riding mower for the new place, since the lawn is fairly large and I don't want to spend my life cutting grass at a getaway camp.
I've been working on the plumbing stuff last couple of days. I'm using a triple intake filter, 20 micron followed by parallel 5 micron, to initially knock stuff out prior to a UV filter. Yesterday I had to change out one fitting to a filter, ended up stripping the threads. I hate those darned plastic 3/4" sockets on whole house filters.
