Hey everyone.
I've only tried 2 different clearos so far.
The vivi mini novas and kanger protanks.
Problem I'm having with the protank is that it tends to leak for me even if i don't remove the top wick, although i do prefer it to the mini novas.

Any suggestions of other tanks?
Preferably not RBAs as I'm still a noob on this =(

was also wondering how these 2 stack up:

Vision STV Nova tank Clearomizer
Kanger T3 BCC (also saw a newer version of this)

Vision STV is the same as vivi nova, just that it has an outer sleeve. If u have problems with protank, T3 has got more problems. New batches of T3s have reported with leaks as well.

I would recommend either using iClear 16 dual coil or iClear 30. They are both pretty good and I have used them before. No leaks at all and the vapor and flavor is pretty good due to them using dual coils.

I'm definitely in the minority, but I still enjoy using the Stardust CE5 that came included in the kit I bought with my c-twist. I rebuild the coils to 1.5 ohms, use it on my Evic and I get a decent amount of vapor and a nice tasty vape off it. I like the form factor, there's no leakage, it performs far better than my Vivi Nova, I genuinely feel the taste isn't as muted as my Pro Tank and it's dirt cheap. My only gripe is the springy centre pin which has the tendency to leave a drop or two on the connection. As always though, YMMV, but on a tight budget I think it's hard to beat.

I don't have a protank, but if I'm not wrong, it has a "flavour" wicks like the t3 which I use. To me, it's not a flavour wick. It's actually a plug.
Remove the old flavour wicks and insert in your own wicks with silicca, mesh or cotton if you can't get the 1st two. Ensure that there are no gaps. Don't use too thick a flavour wicks or you'll constrict the juice flow.
Due to design, the t3 may leak when juice is low because of vacuum. Difference in pressure between the tube and outside.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info.
In your experience is the iclear better than the vivi?

The iClear performs better than the vivi if I am using the original. Due to iClear's dual coil system, wicking is better and so flavor and vapor is much better.

However after I rewicked my vivi, it does outperform the iClear. Vivi originally uses 3x 1mm silica wicks. I replace with a single 3mm wick and lower the resistance from 2.4ohm to 2ohm. It does absorb more juice, which gives the amount of vapor and flavor equivalent to that of a dual coil system. But there is of cos a tradeoff. Thicker wick means u need to give it more time to soak up the juices. If u immediately dive down to vaping it straight after wicking, u will realise that the draw is tight, there isn't much flavor and vapor is almost none.

Give it a little time to soak up the juices. Once u get the initial flavor and vapor from the rewicked vivi, u will realise the longer u use the vivi, the better and thicker the taste and vapor.

I love my rebuilt vivi more than any other tanks. Period.

Yeah, but they are juice hoggers. Dual coil mah.

Lol. yeah indeed they are if u dun clean them often. Depends on what u want lor. If the person doesn't like frequent cleaning and dry burns, then go for the protanks. If more of an engineer guy, go for vivi. If more of a cleaning guy, go for dual coils.

It all boils down to how u wan ur PV+tank to perform for u. There is always a tradeoff in everything. U dun work hard, it doesn't perform.

Oh ya, if u really can afford the time and sweat, go for RBAs or RDAs. Definitely worth your money and time. U dun need to start off with an expensive one. Go for an Aga T2 or AGI (2-in-1) to practice. They are not costly and at the same time they are pretty good.

Once u get the hang of it then u may consider going into more higher end RBAs/RDAs for performance.

yeah its the pressure which causes the leaks.
but people solve it by unscrewing the bottom and screwing it back.
mine leaked when it was on in my pocket and about half full.
so if can be because juice is low.
think it does so when its on its side.

i have a feeling that the juice is too thin.
it has only happened to me when i use my liqua strawberry or apple.
ill probably test with other juices and leave it on its side.
but if i'm not wrong, a couple of my other liquas were in my pocket but didn't leak.

I have been using 2 Kanger eVOD's for the past couple of weeks and have had no issues. Easy to refill, clean and vape. I hope to learn how to rebuild (YouTube makes it look easy). I would highly recommend them. :2c:

Kanger Evods and Protanks rebuilding system works the same way as vivi. Only difference is the length of the wicks. If u know how to rewick a vivi, u know how to do it for the kangers, and vice versa. Rewicked tanks definitely vapes better and flavors better than the original tanks that come.

I think ur protank has a mind of its own. It has come to life. Whenever he is unhappy he will leak for ur attention. U shld perhaps not neglect it for your vivi. LOL.

ok thats lame. Chill for Monday blues!

One must have basic knowledge of how rba/rda works.... doesn't mean got time can get it right, still need dedication and effort to read and understand....

Oh man ! Go with EVOD or T3S new vwesion of t3.. I clear and vivis are good the only thing i dislike of top coil clearos are when they are half down you need to tiwst upside down your ecig to get the juice to wick or you will have lots of dry hits. I have evods, protank, vivis, dripper all kind of stuff since i did not what i will like i start buying all diferent kind of atomizer to see what i liked thebest.. And for me EVOD arethe winner. Of course my dripper is far better than everithing but EVOD are close in flavor vapor and throat hit, protank are good but you need to use EVOD head on it the down of protank is a metalic taste. So my recomendation is EVOD or T3S
