Yeah, it was the start of my love for all things photography. I get 1 in my hands and it's like Gold, especially the old ones before there was a ton of advertisements.
That has to be one of the most thoroughly enjoyable and edifying and mentally satisfying magazines ever. I love it. I have volumes of them.

It has to be the year I caught Santa in our house.
I even wrote a poem about it, here's a segment of it.....

"The stump of a drip tip he held tight in his teeth,
And the vapor it encircled his head like a wreath.
He had a broad face and a little round belly,
That shook when he laughed, like a bowlful of jelly!"

My favorite memories of Christmas always stem around our Christmas Eve tradition. My dad cooks an amazing dinner on the grill, and in WI that's treat! After dinner my sister and I get to open one gift, and it's always matching pajamas. We put on our jammies. Then my parents, my grandpa and, my sister and I load up into the truck, and we drive around town looking at Christmas light. Of course we listen to Christmas music too. My favorite is Elvis.
I already got my Christmas present from my parents this year. I really wanted/needed a new pair of glasses. My new pair look pretty snazzy.

Best was when I was 14 and I got my first handgun for Christmas. Was an Old Model Ruger Blackhawk .45 convertible. It has traveled the world with me, fed me at times, protected my home and family at times as well. This year it is hard for me to think of anything a really want, anything I could ask anyone for. I am lucky and have most material things I want and other things less material are largely out of my hands. The best thing I will get this year is a day spent with my daughter...I never seem to see her often enough these days and a day spent with her will be great.

I'm old an many won't remember the Aluminum trees that use to be popular. But we had one and used it until it looked just too ratty. We had this same old cheap angle we put all all or trees until it got damaged beyond repair. We got the same thing every year in our stockings. A tooth brush, tooth paste, fruit and maybe some deodorant when we got older. I remember before the mini bulbs we had these huge bulbs that got hot and we could not run them for long for fear of a fire. For some reason they were blue for the longest time. I remember when I was young we would have a hard time getting to sleep but then we woke up at the crack of dawn and tried to wake our parents with out them knowing we woke them by talking loud and stomping around and such. Or getting the dog barking. We would rip through presents wrapping at light speed and paper went everywhere. One year we had a scarey moment when a gift card with money was missing back then we burned our wrapping in the fire place. Other things like Oranges with cloves stuck in them for the smell. Christmas cards from all over strung up over the fireplace and doors. Late breakfast because it was useless to try to get us to eat before opening the gifts. Most often it was not a lot but sometimes I just don't know how our parents managed it but they would go way overboard. There were the gifts we knew we would get but every once in a while there was a true surprise. Like the year my brother and I got matching Daisy BB rifles that looked like the Winchesters from the westerns. OH the days when my tastes were simple. Going to quit before I get misty.

For the life of me, I can't place the "best" Christmas,,,,,my mom always did a good job. We didn't have a lot of money growing up,,,,,,but Christmas was always special,,,,,,we always got at least one thing we wanted, usually the thing we wanted MOST,,,,,and a nice variety of smaller items,,,,it wasn't until I grew up and had my own kids that I realized the sacrifice that went into it all,,,,,to this day, any Christmas is a good one if I can see the babies smile :) These days, it's my grand babies,,,,,,but I still remember back on all the nice Christmases my mother gave us and ti makes me smile.

My aunt took my Mom and brothers and sister and me to see that movie. We didnt get out much for things like that living in the country and its the first time I can remember laughing so hard I cried.

Ironically the last movie I laughed so hard I almost cried was Bad Santa :)

Oh yeah handguns for Christmas you can't beat that! I would love an RPK with a my little pony painted on the side. The first year I was together with my husband he got me a fabulous american made Kershaw with an assisted opening. By far the best gift I have gotten. Oddly enough an older fellow who sharpens everything under the sun came into the gas station I worked at a year later. I had busted the tip off of it and was kinda sad about it. He got it nice and sharp and fixed it up. Chrismas eve I was working and he brought it in, and said merry christmas free of charge. It made my day my son was only 3 months old and I was so sad about not being home with him. It's good to know there is kind folks still around ;)

Only problem is if Bob CostASS gets his way we won't be able to keep them.
