Ok maybe the title is a little dramatic but I'm very excited. I spent Christmas with my folks and was anxious about getting my dad to try e cigs. He had a stroke two years ago and started smoking again. I have approached him about switching to e cigs before but he hasn't shown any interest so I decided to try a different tactic. He smokes in his garage that is heated and attached to the house. My mom told me it was ok to vape in the house but I decided to use the garage and conveniently left my eGo filled with caramel Capp next to his pack of cigs. He is a curiosity killed the cat type of person. Within two hours I heard him in the garage coughing really hard and I knew he tried the eGo. Ha! I left it out there the rest of the day and after the festivities settled down he looked over at me and said "So how do I get one of those electronic cigarettes?" I had a kit ordered for him within a half hour

It's not easy taking advice from your own kid...we parents can be a bit stubborn. You handled this great. Best wishes to you and your Dad.

Thanks for the well wishes. He is a bit stubborn so I come by it myself honestly.:p I think he has really been struggling to try to quit. Not that he would talk about it, but I'm really hoping switching helps. I know for myself that when I didn't have a cig I didn't feel normal.

Awesome to hear Leal!

Now you'll have to show him the forums next so he can learn how to improve or change his vaping styles, and so he can learn about ALL the wonderful hardware and flavor options out there!

I definitely intend to get him started on ECF. As much for the community support as the technical aspect.
