Hey all,

I have been vaping for the better part of 8 months. The same juice pretty consistently and the vendor hasn't changed suppliers. About 3 months into vaping 60/40 pg/vg I developed coughing fits in the evening. I constantly blow yellow mucus out of my nose. Recently I have suffered from sinus blockage. I know not to expect medical advice here, when I get paid I will be going to see an ENT.

Most PG allergy threads I have seen relate to people having rashes, which I do not exhibit. Has anyone had strictly sinus issues vaping? And what was the outcome of the situation?

So I can't get into an ENT for another two weeks so I went to an urgent care clinic. The Dr. said that basically sinus infections don't last that long because your body can and will get rid of a sinus infeciton on its own and that alot of the time anti-biotics aren't even necessary. However, she said I had massive buildup behind my eardrum from an untreated ear infection / blocked eustachian tube, which explained the off and on (mostly on) infections. She gave me some anti-biotics and a steroid nasal spray and some OTC allergy medicine. Said that I may have developed that nasty hay fever stuff that people get in Austin from the cedar concentration and that my previous smoking habit may have masked it. She also confirmed that I needed to follow up with an ENT and/or Allergist to further assess my condition.

So with that, hopefully I'll be able to update within the next few days on how i'm feeling. Turns out this may be another terrible situation that coincided with starting vaping and quitting smoking thread.

Sorry to hear about your troubles, Canderson180. I suffered recurring bouts of sinusitis several years ago; have had allergies for many years. Have not had an infection since I switched to vaping, and in fact the allergy attacks have almost stopped as well.

I hope the meds will clear up your current problems and that the ENT specialist/allergist can help you keep it under control in the future. Good luck!
