Regards,

Cartomizers are just simply divine at 5v.

e.g. USB powered, or bat-mod powered.

Personally I think 6v. is just asking for trouble...

I cannot imagine 5v. as being not enough...

Good enough?

Cartomizers incinerate @6v...and USB's actual output under a load is closer to 4.2v off most supplies due to the teenie wire they use (cheap and dirty voltage regulation..but effective)...on a Puresmoker USB pass i was told they get rough..particularly if youre plugged into a 2A or greater supply but i have not tried it myself...

I'd guess 4-4.5v would be supreme on a cartomizer..but the only way to do it would be with a resistor or the better way.. a string of silicon rectifier diodes..which knock off roughly a volt each... so a 6v mod would require two (theyre the diameter of a kindergarden pencil led and prob take less room than a heavy resistor and definately take more power...voltage drop is a natural function of a diode..I'm beginning to have an idea here i'll get back to ya... If any amateurs realize what i'm talkin about just remember to get the polarity right..they wont respond well to reverse

why is it people ask questions and i have a sudden idea I had totally forgotten from when i was more active in amateur radio? DOH!
