So grab yourself a cup of tea, or coffee and settle in, cos this might be a tad long.

I am not having a lot of luck lately. My 3000MAH (Red Ultrafires) batteries that I have used for about 9 months were starting to show their age. I went to order some more and saw that they now had 3600MAH, figuring more is better I ordered those instead.

About 2 weeks later they arrived from Hong Kong, took them home, put them in the charger and no joy. The charger died. Crap.

I ordered a new charger, and while waiting for it to arrive I broke out my RCR123as and a dummy battery to use in my Chuck after my 3000MAHs lost their charge.

New charger came (Trustfire) only 1 side works reliably. I can't send it back for an exchange until I get a backup -to use while waiting for the replacement to come.

Meanwhile, I have been using the 3600MAH batteries, and am horribly disappointed in their performance. I have yet to have one last 8 hours. When my 3000MAHs were new they would easily last me over 24 hours. I should have stuck with what works. Has anyone else used these batteries? What has your experience been.

In the meanwhile, I have been having some trouble with my fingertips. Tingling, sensitivity, mild pain. Mainly when doing repetitive tasks or keeping my hands in one position for a long time - biking, playing video games (portable with small buttons,) and using my Chuck.

I definitely noticed that the small, rather pointy button on my Chuck was the worst culprit, and if I stopped using it for awhile the tingling and pain would ease. So I started looking for another 18650 mod as a replacement. Remembering the large, flat button on the Silver Bullet I decided to check that one out. That is when I saw the Omega.

Hmm, if a wide flat button would be good for my ailing fingertips, no button would probably be even better. I read the reviews, which were all glowing so I ordered one, in black.

I think I made a mistake. It is a great unit, don't get me wrong. It is very attractive, it works well, and seems to be very high quality. It makes my thumb hurt, though. If I don't brace the unit with my pinky the palm of my hand also gets sore. If I do brace the unit with my pinky then my thumb and pinky get sore. I don't fault the unit for this, I keep reminding myself that I don't have to squeeze the top all the way down, and I am getting better about using a softer touch, but even when I use a light touch I wind up with sore hands. Again, I don't fault the Omega for this, I blame my hands. Even with the issues that I am having it is better than the acute pain that the Chuck was causing me.

So now I am looking around again and reconsidering the Silver Bullet, or maybe the Precise from Super T which, while expensive, is just gorgeous. I used Trog's original Screwdriver for quite awhile, so I do have some experience with using a mod with a bottom button. I am wondering if anyone who has used these units could advise me on their respective buttons. Are they comfortable? Do they require lots of effort to press their buttons, or are they a relatively soft touch? They both seem wide, so I am assuming that the pressure would be reasonably spread out and not concentrated on a small point like with my Chuck.

I also looked at the Journeyman and the Ali'i, and while I like the concept, I am not sure about carting around a big wooden box in my pocket.

So I guess I have just hit a run of bad luck with my vaping lately, and am a bit frustrated. I am sure that I will find a better solution, and this bad luck streak will end.

Thank you for listening, I'm sorry this was so long.

I thought about the Sabre Touch because of that very issue, here is my concern though. I live car free, I walk, bike, and take the train everywhere. When I am walking to the train, or to the store, or on my lunch hour I vape. This means that during the winter I am walking in the cold weather. I am assuming that the touch sensitive button on the Sabre Touch does not work with gloves? I love the concept, but am concerned that this would seriously hamper my usage of the device for a large portion of the year. Please correct me if I am wrong, as that could be a very good solution. Thanks!

Oh, and I only vape at 3.7 volts. I toyed around with 6, but went through atomizers too quickly.
