Chuck Switch Troubles

I am having an issue with the switch on my chuck. I have to push it really hard. Jeff emailed me back and told me to send it in, which I am doing tomorrow. I was just wondering if anyone else has had this problem? Is there anything I can do to maintain my new switch once I get my chuck back? Any other tips/tricks?

I really love the chuck. It was the device that killed my analog habit once and for all and I will be sad to see it go even though I will be getting it back.

Mine is hot or cold, some days I have to push really hard it seems. And chuck is what killed my analog habit for good too.

This is what I am doing, I ordered another one! Mine still work well enough to not bother sending them in but I will have back up! I looked at some other mods but just decided naw, I really love my chucks, why F with a good thing?

Yeah, if I could buy another one I probably would. I have my old tornado as my backup and I ordered a passthru from madvapes so I can have a more permanent thing at home. I probably will order another Chuck for a backup eventually however.

Have got my switch replaced and now have the same problem with about one month of use.Any ideas on getting it to work better or a switch I can put in myself.I hate to keep bothering the guy.The device is hands down my favorite when it works.

If you really don't want to send it back to Jeff one thing you could try as a last resort is a shot of CRC Electronic Parts Cleaner. Aim the little straw that comes with it right at the button. It will penetrate into the switch and clean out any gunk that may have built up in there. This will work only if the switch is dirty inside. It evaporates quick and won't leave any chemical behind.

Thought one would be all I'd need, but I want a second one already and am going to order one here within the next few days since I'm already over the whole waiting period for the first to arrive and I have a working one... there's less stalking and obsessing to be done.

yep!!I've replaced da switch on my Chuck wiff da rat shack #275-1571 switch sold in a 2 pack fer $3. Mr jeffakamax at one time sent me 2 switches and they don't look all that different from the rat shack switches. I had ordered my Chuck wif da 401 connector and da center hole could not be sealed and so juice wasa go'n down through connector and into the switch. Best uf lucks.....Hecknaw

Normally open, pushing the button closes it.

The Radio Shack switch: Rated 0.5 amps at 125VAC and mounts in a 3/8" hole.

Yep!! Not all dat hard wiff a steady hand, wif a shaky hand a whole lots uf oh chits and AH damn its, for me da tuffest part was twisting the top back on withouts breaking the connection to the atom. there must be a way only Jeff know about, he has da knowhow.........Hecknaw
