Hello everyone!

I just began looking into vaping a couple of days ago (lots of info in this forum, y'all are great!). I have never vaped, so I am a definite noob. I am, however, not new to smoking. I have been smoking cigars for 8 years. I started when I was 18 and never looked back. I have worked off and on in the cigar industry for about 2 years. I'm looking for an alternative to cigars for when I'm indoors.

I recently ordered the Cohita E650 and some blank cartridges as well as some cigar flavored juice from W2V. Hopefully it will be here next week! I've also seen some reviews on the V4L Vapor Zeus and it looks great - I may have to try that when it releases as well.

Anyways, hello and I am looking forward to interacting with you all :2cool:

Welp, wasn't too pleased with the Cohita. Got a return ticket and I am sending it back. We'll see if they ding me 20% - from their return disclaimer it seems they'll look for any reason to do so. Oh well. The cigar flavor was anything but. More like cigar ash mixed with window cleaner. Yeesh, it was nasty. I ordered some blanks and tried a red-hot-bubblegum juice I picked up locally and have been enjoying - taste was nowhere near the level I've been getting of a stardust clearomizer. And two of the five blanks were DOA.

I picked up a little egoT starter kit with two 650 batteries and some stardust clearomizers - much better! Today I picked up a ViVi Nova tank and have been smoking a local e-Juice called Fire and Ice. Fantastic stuff. Very strong cinnamon-menthol kind of flavor. Really digging it. Also picked up a blend called Captain Black and it nicely replicates a latakia pipe tobacco. I'm vaping (still have to delete "smoking" and put in "vaping" ha!) that through a smok ego mega dual coil cartomizer I got at AltSmoke.

The ego mega is really smoking great, I haven't compared it side by side with the same juice, but it seems to be performing just as well as the vivi nova. It heats up faster than the nova, but great flavor and plenty of vapor. So, I have a question - why go with the nova over the ego mega? I get that I can replace the atomizer on the nova and there is some more flexibility in resistance (I think that's the right word) but these ego megas are $3 a piece! Am I missing something?

Thinking I will go with an 1000mah ego passthrough battery for my next purchase. I want something for road-trips and sitting at the computer. Can I still adjust the voltage on that battery? With the egoT I have 3 different voltage settings.

Thanks in advance to anyone who might be reading this or might reply :)

Oh, and a shout out to the shop I went to today. If you are ever in Keller, TX swing by Vapormax. Really nice guys who let me sample whatever I wanted, were patient and not pushy. Some great juices that were about $16 for 30ml. I'll be returning.

i have two vision spinner 1300mah batts. i have so far... charged both once initially. and then one of them a second time in eight days. and i puff on them seemingly non stop. just saying that i dont see the need in a passthrough. many people do. but many people go overboard on this forum. surevapes is a great site. and they are cheap, reputable, fast and mostly free ship.

as far as the nova and the mega. i dunno. im a noob myself and i use/only know the kanger evods. but i am about to switch to a few home made cartomizer tanks so i dont have to deal with leaking. it seems to be what most everyone ends up with simply for the lack of leakage. and a 25 pack of cartos is only $24 at surevapes.

and as far as whether or not the passthrough can change voltages. just make sure it says 'VV', variable volt, twist, or spinner.

for the carto tanks. the boge f16 (fat) and f17 (skinny) are cheap and decent. then smoketech makes one that is common on most of the sites. and the vets around here recommend ibtanked tanks.

Heather's Heavenly Vapes? has a juice called "gandalf", that I believe is supposed to be like a pipe tobacco flavor. I have read that a lot of people really like it. Sorry, I don't know how to link to the site, yet. I'm new here, too.
Ooh! I used to live in Keller when I was a teen 20-something years ago.

I saw someone mention Gandalf elsewhere. May have to give it a try!

Late but Weldome aboard mate, congrats on giving up the Stinkys

Thanks! Must admit, I am not ditching cigars completely, but looking to enjoy them in more moderation. And keep the lady happy of course :p

Thanks for the info! Looking into the spinners and they seem like a good deal. I am also seeing the EgoC Twist for the same price and it seems to get better reviews overall. Maybe I will skip the passthrough. I vape like mad though. I can smoke 10 cigars in a day if the mood strikes me, and vaping zero nic juice I feel no guilt, so I'm going at it even harder haha

Will look into the cartos and tanks you mentioned as well. I am looking for something inexpensive to try new flavors...

It should not be hard to replicate the cigar smoking experience. I would suggest a pen size automatic battery with a ruberized finish, not a metallic finish which would have a slick feel. there are not a lot of cigar type eliquids available, but here is one called cigarillo http://www.ecigexpress.com/e-liquid...o-10ml-by-high-caliber-select-strength-p-1331
to experience a variety of cigar flavors you will probably have to make them yourself, or have a friend make them. Flavor Arts brand flavoring for eliquid makes some good ones like cuban supreme and tuscan reserve.

Almost all eliquid vendors make the liquids fresh to order. however, many liquids, especially tobacco flavors need to steep or age, for weeks or months before attaining their best taste so if you don't like the liquid at first, shelve it in a cool and dark place and try it again later.
