I am still undecided if this mod is as good as the pyramid tea bag mod, but I thought I would share it anyway.

For this mod I used a camel light and a 510 cart.

1. Cut a length of filter from the cig equal to that of the flat surface of the 510 cart. In other words the same length as the cap for the cart. Remove the paper from the filter.

2. Fill the cart with liquid up to where the flat part begins (maybe a drop or two more).

3. Insert the filter so that it is flush with the top of the cart.

4. Turn the cart sideways and wait until it is saturated.

5. Insert and start vaping. You may want to prime your atty if it is dry.

So far this has been working out nicely. Like I said in the beginning I am still not sure if this is as good as the PTB method. It has not flooded my atty as of yet, which I initially thought might happen.

A note about cig filters. I have not done any research on what they are made of. I was always under the impression camel uses cotton, Marlboro uses fiberglass. I have not noticed any burning of the filter, and I am using a USB pass through and letting the atty get fairly hot.

Edit: With this method the atty element does seem to get covered nicely by the filter.

Thanks for this suggestion.......I had some cigarette empty filler tubes you can get like 200 for only $3 bucks. I just snipped the paper off that you fill tobacco with and I was left will a filter. Then like you said I just cut to fit the cart, filled it with juice and it works amazingly well without having to shred waist tea and it is not so messy. $3.00 for 200 filters is a lot cheaper then the 3.50 for 8 tea bags.

oh the tubes are cotton, and not filled with fiberglass or other things the cig company's add to them.

Thanks for the tip. Found a bag of 250 RAW cotton filters for 3.50. I still have not found where to by the tubes from.

SaintCappy: Glad you liked the idea and it is working for you.

I have been trying this method over the past day or so. So far I still think the PTB is a bit better. However, I am not cutting my filters as shown in SaintCappy's video. I have been cutting a standard filter into three parts. Filling the cart a little over 2/3 full of liquid and then putting one of the filter peaces in the top of the cart. My origional idea was to come up with a way to basically drip the atty, but prevent excess liquid from seeping when not in use. However, I find with my method the filter does not wick the atty after a while, and I must do a push then pull on the filter to juice the filter again. Other then this it works great and does not seem to waste any liquid. Even though I have to do the push pull I find this better then the polyfill. I always had to top off with the polyfill. This method I am essentially topping off, but I can simply push/pull the piece of filter to do this. Again PCB still seems to be a better long term wicking solution. I did try putting a hole into the middle of the filter where the bridge would line up. This works a bit better in the long term sessions, but found it to flood the atty when in a PCC (Duh).

I think the way SaintCappy is doing it may be better as it appears the filter is not as packed into the cart. This should let the liquid flow much easier. EDIT: Just tried this method. Seems to be working good. I'll vape on it today and post back on how it goes in regards to wicking the atty.

My next mod (if I get the time) is to attempt to manufacturer a cart that is essentially a dropper. You give it a small squeeze and it will drip onto the bridge of a 510 atty.

Nice,
Well after a day of testing....I have to say I am sticking with it.
I drip on my atty and then just top off the filter. If it does dry out a bit I get a slight weird taste but not as bad as polyfill. The coolest thing is that you don't waste a bunch of juice. I know when I pull other fillers out there is so much wasted juice and this kind of seeps it up. I get a good vape with it also im not sure why but I am guessing because of the hug of filter to the wick. Still its so easy to cut and stuff and your good to go. Cant wait to see this new mod!! sounds very very cool.

Does anyone have a link to where these can be bought online? Thanks in advance!

In your bushes, watching you undress
Couple questions if you don't mind.

IF you run dry, and we all know how easy it is to run dry in a 510 :) are you burning the filter onto your atty? Anyone who has ever put the wrong end of a cig into their mouth and lit the filter knows that it is probably the foulest taste on Earth, and when the filter burns, it "crisps" or hardens up.

Does it seem as though a full filter gives you longer vaping between refills/top-offs?

Are you getting more/less vapor? More/less flavor?

Thanks in advance.

Yes the 510 runs dry pretty quick...so far from 4 days of trying this out....The filter gives me about the same refill time and drip time...it can dry pretty quick but seems the same as normal. I get more vapor for sure and I can really taste the flavor a bit more and it seems cleaner for some reason that I cant explain. The filter stays soft if your using these tubes now reg cig filters those have like fiberglass and stuff and yes nasty....these don't harden up at all....one thing is it really soakes up the juice and drys it out your not left with a bunch of wasted juice in the cart or the filter. The throat hits are nice.....and when its dry you get a little weird taste but nothing chemical and just the same as polyfill maybe even better I dont taste that metalish taste it kind of filters it out.

I'm new here, so don't be offended if I ask what seems to be stupid question.
I just watched Saint Cappy's video and noticed that the filters from the tubes are white. This usually means they are a 'light' filter. I have boxes of tubes with brown filters (full flavor filters). Has anyone used these full flavor filters and, if so, are there any differences with the taste?

I just did a mod with some of the brown filters tonight, great flavor. I don't see any change in the taste from using the stuff that came pre-packaged in the flat tip carts. Seems to drain the cart of juice really well. Draw is more like a regular analog.

Again, thanks SaintCappy! Vaping like a champ now! LOL

I just did this with one of the old cigs I had left over. I haven't let burn down to the nasty flavor yet, but the drag is identical to an analog. It works on my 901 as well but doesn't hold much juice. Great idea!

Try cutting a V at the bottom part (closest to the mouthpiece). 510 holds about 12-15 drops. It's my understanding (somebody correct me if I'm wrong) that the 901 carts are a bit larger.
