Oh, I don't know, Izan. Of course, I'm a dinosaur: I matriculated in 1966. Back then, Lawrence Universilty, at least, wasn't an indoctrination camp, though it is today. It's sad.

There are a few. They tend to be religious institutions with conservative leanings. But then again, they may be indoctrinating too--just in a different direction.

Even Hillsdale College (a conservative but non-religious school) seems to be something of an indoctrination camp. At least Hillsdale is a counter-balance to the 99.9% of the others.

Funny you mention Hillsdale- we get their newsletter. Main reason is, our son is college age and my aunt and uncle live there. I know they put us on the mailing list. It is interesting reading, but I wouldn't want my son going there and besides, have you checked out their tuition? I once heard it was the highest in the nation.

Actually, Hillsdale College's tuition isn't even in the top 100. Here's the list of the 100 most expensive colleges/universities for the 2012-2013 academic year: 100 most expensive.

In the final analysis, one shouldn't consider just the tuition and room-and-board expenses: the level of scholarships at the particular school will significantly affect the college cost bottom line.
