I'm 5 weeks removed from my last cigarette and I think my sense of smell is getting better overall but what I am surprised by I how much cigarettes really stink. I never got how nonsmokers were so repulsed by cigarettes, I mean it just smelled like smoke, but now there is something that I never smelled before and it is awful. I don't just smell cigarette smoke. I don't know what it is but now that I'm not smoking there is the putrid smell that is almost like spoiled milk or something that I smell on smokers. At first I thought maybe it was just one person who maybe wasn't all that hygienic and or had some generic cigarettes that stunk but now I smell it on every smoker. Even when I hotboxed a cigarette and then put it out and put the partial back in my pack I didn't smell this smell, honestly I used to kind of like that smell. I'm also surprised that I like all these sweet, tart and fruity flavors, I really thought tobacco flavored was going to be my staple but at this point I don't even want that.

Ain't it great?? I quit smoking and had not driven my truck for three days. I got into it and about yacked! I put on a jacket that I wore last when I smoked. I had to take it off and have it cleaned. You will find that you will be able to smell a cig from over 200 yards downwind. Keep in mind that you used to smell like that to others that didn't smoke. Now you don't!:toast:

I wanted to have a vape and went and sat in the smoking section of my local cafe, as I did after work every day as a smoker, and man... that was nasty! It smelled totally different in there. Even after I got home, I could smell it all over my clothes. I suddenly feel sorry to all the non-smokers I subjected to my exhaust over the years...

In the office I work at 4 of us switched to vaping and 2 still smoke. During the winter they smoke in the basement and now and then I can smell it at my desk and sometimes when I go downstairs it's like a punch in the face.

It doesn't always smell terrible to me, but it never smells good. Sometimes it just hits me the wrong way though and makes me feel sick. I try not judge because I used to be one of them, but hopefully the 4 of us can influence them eventually.

It's nice when we can be our own in house Scentsy's.

It's true... all of those smokers who get offended when people say they can smell it (and I was one) don't realize that we really CAN smell it from quite a distance.

It took me a couple of years before I really didn't like the smell anymore, but now I will roll up my window if I approach a red light and see someone hanging a cigarette out of their window, etc. I don't even like going to my mom's house because I can smell it throughout the house even though the only room she smokes in is behind a closed door. By the time I leave my hair smells like an ashtray. :(

I stopped associating with smokers, mostly because I've turned them into vapers. It gets easier to avoid any cigarette smoker.

Awesome! I've been trying to get my wife on board, she's skeptical about the whole thing even though she sees how well it's worked for me. Glad to hear you've converted a few!
