I'm only 3 days analog free and I am noticing how bad those things smell! My truck smells also when I get into it after being closed up all night. It's amazing that I ran around for 40 years not knowing that I smelled like that to others! It really adds to my determination to never pick up another one!

The really messed up part is that our memory of how tobacco tastes is so far removed from the reality, that it will be pretty much impossible to recreate the experience, if the craving hits you.

I've found one that tastes like a cig does, but not with a taste like my previously muted tastebuds associated with smoking.

All that said, yeah smokers smell different. They make the vapers use the smoking area where I work. :(

I had to drive into town for the first time in a week and as soon as I opened the door the stench of stale smoke just about knocked me on my ..... I did a quick clean up, fabrized everything, windexed the windows and dash to get rid of the smoke-film on everything, and it seemed okay. Untill I went half a block up and turned on the heater... GAG!! Smelled like someone was blowing an ashtray in my face! 20 degrees outside, and I'm driving around with the back windows open trying to air it out. I feel so bad for the non-smokers I've had in there.

I'm 5 weeks removed from my last cigarette and I think my sense of smell is getting better overall but what I am surprised by I how much cigarettes really stink. I never got how nonsmokers were so repulsed by cigarettes, I mean it just smelled like smoke, but now there is something that I never smelled before and it is awful. I don't just smell cigarette smoke. I don't know what it is but now that I'm not smoking there is the putrid smell that is almost like spoiled milk or something that I smell on smokers. At first I thought maybe it was just one person who maybe wasn't all that hygienic and or had some generic cigarettes that stunk but now I smell it on every smoker. Even when I hotboxed a cigarette and then put it out and put the partial back in my pack I didn't smell this smell, honestly I used to kind of like that smell. I'm also surprised that I like all these sweet, tart and fruity flavors, I really thought tobacco flavored was going to be my staple but at this point I don't even want that.

I still don't mind the smell of cigarettes while burning but that after smell that lingers in the area or on cloths and people OMG!
