Hi Everybody,

I received my first e-cigs from Frank at Cigeasy.com last March 6th, and in a couple of weeks it’ll be my one year anniversary as a non-smoker/happy vaper. After 44 years of smoking tobacco cigarettes, and after 36 years of off and on trying to quit smoking … always failing … I knew from the first drag from the e-cig that this time …. Things Were Going To Be Different. Thousands of dollars saved and thousands of cigarettes not smoked later … I’m amazed to report that my vaping experience has taken a giant leap forward.

Before I write about my quantum vaping leap … I have to backtrack a little bit.

I bought Cigeasy’s KR808D-1 starter kit. I knew I didn’t want to go the 3-piece route. I didn’t want to futz around with dripping or the care and feeding of atomizers. I know there are a lot of people out there who are contentedly vaping 3-piece e-cigs but I wanted the simplest transition from analogs. That’s why I went with an automatic KR808 battery. I noticed there weren’t any buttons on a Marlboro and I wanted to duplicate the smoking experience as closely as possible.

And I was happy.

Then I started using a manual passthrough while at the computer. That was easier. No “primer puffs.” So I naturally started using manual batteries too. Then I tried one of the longer KR808’s thinking the charge would last longer. I thought the combination of cigeasy’s Gold Label Deluxe cartomizers with a long KR808 battery was just about as good as vaping could get.

Then Frank came out with The Elegant Easy. It was amazing. An all-day battery that charged in less time than a KR808. A couple of extra Gold Label Deluxe carts and two fully charged Elegant Easys (I like to switch between flavors while I vape.) and I was good to go for hours and hours.

Could things get any better?

Sure.

Last fall I tried Frank’s new Elegant Easy XXL 1300, or as SSV2 from this forum described it, “The Ultimate KR808D-1 Fat Bat.” It was exactly what I was looking for. It fit my hand better than the original Elegant Easy and lasted seemingly forever. I bought a couple for my sister last Christmas and now they’re all she uses. We both agreed … we had reached vaping nirvana.

I don’t know if I would have liked the Elegant Easy XXL for my first e-cig. I needed to duplicate the analog experience to successfully make the switch. After months of using the KR808 batteries, and then switching to manual batteries, and then using the Elegant Easy … it was no big deal. But going directly to the XXL would’ve been like going from cigarettes to smoking a pipe. It would have taken some time getting used to an entirely different feel. I think it was necessary, for me anyway, to make the progression over time from the KR808 to the XXL.

And now everything has changed again.

Last week I received Cigeasy’s latest: The Go-Go and the Go-Carts.

It’s almost impossible to duplicate your “first” experience in anything. Because the second time you do something … or the third, or the tenth, or the hundredth … regardless of how pleasurable it is … you’ve already done it.

But …

The first drag I took on the Go-Go with a RY4 Go-cart … was almost exactly the feeling I had when I took my first puff off my first e-cig last March.

It was incredible.

Now it’s days later … and it’s still incredible.

I don’t know if I’m a “heavy” vaper or not. I went through at least 2 Gold Label Deluxe carts a day. A Go-cart holds 3 ML of juice and lasts me 2 full days.

And the Go-Go battery life?

Wait a minute … Talk about coincidences …

As I was typing about the Go-cart’s longevity … my Go-Go battery light began to blink so I had to stop typing and put it on the charger for the first time since I got it in the mail last Thursday! I wasn’t using it exclusively all that time. I like to switch flavors while vaping so I’ve been using both Go-Go’s constantly since 1:00 pm last Thursday. The battery needed charging today (Monday) at 2:00 pm.

Now that’s battery life.

But I digress …getting back to the discussion of the Go-Go and Go-carts … the flavors I like (all tobacco, all the time) seem to have more subtlety and clarity using the Go-Go. Maybe I’m being too subjective here … I dunno … but if I can borrow a term from V4L … the WOW factor’s back and the Go-Go’s got it..

To sum up:

Using Cigeasy’s Go-Go and Go-carts is how I’m going to vape from now on. I have to get an adapter so I can use the Go-carts on my Elegant Easy XXL while the Go-Go’s are charging.

It seems a little bit strange to leave the world of KR808 batteries and carts behind. After all … without them I wouldn’t have been able to finally get away from cigarettes. But this isn’t a lateral move. For taste, throat hit, vapor production, battery and cart life, and ease of use … The Go-Go and Go-carts are for me, the next best step in vaping.

Someday somebody will come out with a battery and cartomizers about the size of a Camel filter 100 that will last for days. But until then … Cigeasy’s Go-Go and Go-carts rule.

Bob.

Hi Frick,

My backup plan is to get an adapter so I can use the Go-carts on my other batteries as well as getting an adapter so I can use my old carts on the Go-Go if Go-carts go extinct.

But my hope is Go-carts catch on and stick around. I don't see why not. The Go-Go/Go-cart combo is incredible.

Nice review and well put together from your own perspective as well your story of transending from your basic KR808D-1 manual battery and passthrough to evolving successfully towards the first KR808D-1 "fat batt" without an extreme deviation from the original concept of a two piece unit.

I'm publishing a exclusive review on The GO-GO based on my own personal experience very soon. (editing 3rd draft currently)

I can say right now that this GO-GO battery lasts even longer than my Elegant XXL 1300mAh. This could possibly be just an anomaly though these are two completely animals internally regardless of mAh rating the GO-GO is like the energizer bunny on steroids in regards to battery longevity between charges even with continues non-stop heavy use!

The 3-ml capacity cartomizers exclusive to this device are truly amazing!

When the adapters become available which are being custom manufactured for this unit, I believe it will provide potential customers with some much added piece of mind that they will have other options with the equitment they already own.

I really intended to just come on here and comment on "Bobalex's fine presentation which I found to be a refreshing read that is unique in that it does not get as technical as some reviews or challenge the reader to endure an intense epic presentation as with my last E-Cig review on the Elegant XXL 1300 turned out and that was after editing it down from my original draft!

Congrats on your success at approaching your 1-year anniversary from abstaining from the nasty smokes bonalex!

Very impressive to hear and hopefully inspiring to others reading about this personal achievement!

Cheers!

Hi SSV2,

I thought your review on the Elegant XXL 1300 was spot on. When you're telling it like it is ... it's never too long. I was thinking of writing one myself until I saw you had already written The Compleat XXL review. When I first found out the XXL was going away I was very disappointed because I too thought it was The Ultimate KR808D-1 Fat Bat. I thought of it as The Elegant 3.0.

If your Go-Go review is as comprehensive as your XXL review ... can't wait.

I just filled up a Go-cart with RY4 ... gotta go fog up the TV room.

Thank you for the kind words!

This industry is growing rapidly and there are more choices now than ever before and it can be quite confusing. This community has been wonderful in that I have made better choices in my purchases after spending countless hours reading threads of interest to me way before I was brave enough to join and become a member.

I find the most gradification when reading about an individual who discovers a PV that keeps them off the analoges and are happy with their investment. Its great to hear the enthusiasm one expresses about something that has brought some level of added happieness to their life.

On that note I am off to fill up my G0-cart with some Honey Flue Cured Tobacco from Liquid Express and vape myself into a sublime oblivion! (Thanks to Grimm Green for his part in introducing me to this fine delight):)

Thanks, bobalex! I've been curious about the Go-Go.

I too started my vaping career with Frank at CigEasy ... for the very reason you did: the easiest (the pun was not originally intended) transition to vaping (and CigEasy had the best price). And I do not regret it (and certainly don't regret starting with CigEasy) ... and I have always recommended the Kr8 for new vapers (and for anyone who enjoys the taste of the cartos).

However, although I love the Kr8 battery (and continue to use it in various combinations), I didn't like the taste or vapor production of Kr8 cartomizers at that time (June 2009). So I switched to the penstyle and fell in love with the 801 atty (various models). Many months later, I ventured back into Kr8 land to review (very positively) Frank's 750 mAh Elegant: the first Kr8 fat batt ... which I still use (again in various combinations). And a few weeks ago, Frank agreed to donate the Go-Go that you just reviewed as a prize in the Vacuous Vaping Videos Contest. [He is a great guy, isn't he?]

That mini-bio:oops: leads up to the issue of Go-Go to Kr8 and Kr8 to Go-Go adapters. Frank had indicated that he would carry them. Does he not have them?

Hey DonDaBoomVape,

Not yet. But according to Frank ... soon. Getting the adapters will satisfy my curiosity about how well the Go-carts will perform with my Elegants (original and XXL) and my pass-through. But that's curiosity spelled with a very small "c". I'm still incredibly impressed with the Go-Go and Go carts. In an alternative universe without adapters I'd be perfectly happy as an exclusively Go-Go vaping guy.

By the way Mr. DDBV ... I'm indebted to your 6-part vaping opus, The Wonderful World of Vaping: An Illustrated Guide to E-cigs, I first read about a year ago. I had just heard a radio ad about e-cigs (rip off company) and clicked around and found your guide. I've linked to it from my website re: e-cigs, superbeans.com/quitting/resources.htm, and direct everyone interested in vaping to Read It First.

Looks like I'll be updating the page soon so I can send everybody over to vapingguides.com.

Bobalex, my story is very similar to yours. I started vaping about 18 months ago and haven't smoked a cigarette since (after having smoked for 38 years and many failed efforts to quit). I started with the 902 but hated all the putzing, dripping, filling, etc., so switched to the KR808D. I haven't been on the forum for months but came back because I am looking for a new device. My main complaint is that the cartomizers just don't last long enough. Plus they get to be pretty expensive, so I do refill them until they wear out. My other complaint was how little time the batteries last. I had been looking at various mods, but I don't think I'm a "mod" kind of gal. I like the idea of a larger carto, and your experience with the battery is really impressive. I just might have to try the GoGo. Thanks for posting this review.

The GoGo is a very nice unit. The eGo was the device that got me off analogs and IMHO was the first really practical ecig that I could recommend to family and friends as a viable alternative. I never liked atomizers as they took just to much fussing around with. I went to cartomizers and finally settled on the 501 LR versions and was pretty much good to go.

My eGo batteries gave out on me in a couple of months so I tried a couple of replacements but they didn't last very long, and at $18 a pop I decided to try a mod that used standard Li rechargeable batteries. I purchase a V3 mod and bought two AW 1760 protected (1600 mAh) batteries. My friends, these are great batteries and I have had these in rotation for seven months and they are still going strong.

As much as I like the V3 there are couple of things I don't like about it. Never could quite get used to the manual switch on the bottom and it always felt like I was just carrying a piece of pipe around. I have also been looking for a better cartomizer option so I decided with the excellent price for the CigEasy GoGo kit I would give a departure from the 501 style a try.

Since I have only had the GoGo a few days the jury is still out on how long the batteries and cartos will last but I am very happy with the performance so far. Nice vapor and flavor and the cartos do last much longer in between refills. I would welcome a 501 adapter so I could use the cartos on my V3.

Awesome review bobalex. I keep reading about these. I've asked before and can't remember, but what is the cut off time on the Go-Go?

Thank you :)

My lungs cut off before it does. But if I hold the button down it goes blinky in 15 - 16 seconds.

When you all use your charger and screw the battery on, does the light stay green. On my kr808 it has a red light when charging and when fully charged it turns to blue. My go go charger light stays green and it is not charging my batteries at all. I am just trying to figure out if I have a faulty charger or bad batteries. I do love my go go so it is a bit frustrating that I can't use it right now. I have only had it for 5 days.

Hey TerryUK,

I noticed yesterday when I screwed the battery on that initially the charger light stayed green. I took it off the charger and put it back on. Stayed green. Tightened it a tad more. Red. I'm sure you've already tried that move. I vote for faulty charger but you should drop Frank a line to see if anyone else has had the problem.

You've been Go-Go-ing for 5 days ... have you refilled a Go-cart yet?

I've refilled a couple of times now and this is the first time ... ever ... a refilled cartomizer vapes like it was brand new right out of the wrapper.

I wish I could be more help because having to go back to pre-Go-Go vaping is a drag.

Thanks Bob! Yeah I have tried tightening and using both the usb and also plugging it into an outlet. I have just used the prefilled carts so far. I bought 10 of them when I purchased my go go. Man it is amazing and I already miss it, even though it has only been about 12hours. lol I didn't know what I was missing when I used the go go for the first time. Amazing! I have also emailed Frank and hopefully will hear something soon.

My charger acts similarly, and I read somewhere that a slightly pull on the chargers middle post does the trick. I tried that and it does work... assuming you have the same issue.

I am absolutely loving my Gogo and have been using it exclusively since I received it last Wednesday. My two complaints are that I would prefer a narrower tip and a firmer draw. Well I am now used to the tip and have improved the draw (as well as TH and vapor volume) by applying a small strip of Scotch Tape to cover 2 of the carto vent holes.

Now for the first time in my 6 month vaping journey, I just vape. Mindlessly vape. The past 2 days have seen no thoughts about... I need/want more TH, vapor, leaks, dribbles, juice sweat, dry hit, flooding, what angle do I hold it, do I want a Reo, etc. I just simply vape, and this makes all the difference to me.

Great flavor, good vapor amount, nice temperature, decent TH... my journey could be over thanks to the Gogo.

Les you are the man!!!!! I just pulled slightly on the middle post and hooked my battery back up and I have a red light!! WOOOOHOOOOO I am getting ready to enjoy my go go again as soon as it charges. I guess you all can see how much I love the go-go. What is usual charge time for a dead battery? I had resigned myself to the fact I was going to be without my go go for at least a week and now hopefully I'm not! Thanks again LES!!!
