Thoughts on Mt Baker and others pulling cinnamon flavors?? Phil Busardo posted some interesting info on his site, as well as an article written by a doctor that debunks the initial findings. This doctor was way too harsh on Mt Baker though. They were just thinking better safe than sorry I'm sure.

still vaping my DIY Cinnamon Danish ... not concerned at all, until concrete evidence is produced.

When flavouring on ejuice is finally regulated ... I expect many flavours will be nixed.

I am just too thrilled to be smoke free for 2 months after 30+ years on cigarettes.

Not gonna rain on my parade :2cool:

Agreed! If this study was about cinnamon gum, no one would care. It's the same flavoring that's in the gum! So I guess we are just all gonna die! Hahaha

Cinnamon is one of my favorites too, and I don't intend to stop using it as long as it's available. I'm more of a "taster" than an "inhaler" anyway. I do feel that for those who sell eliquids to put warnings/information on their sites/products would be sufficient, rather than completely drop the flavor....

When you consider the amount of money MBV has volunteered to lose... to insure customer safety, until such time that they have incontrovertible proof that cinnamon flavor is safe... they know that down the road, this will stand out as a shining moment for them.

If MBV was really concerned about customer safety ... they would be offering to buy back all their Cinnamon juice out there.

They have only chosen the cheapest method of covering their butts :glare:

Be that as it may... I've yet to see anyone else "covering their butts" in such a fashion.

When you have your own e-juice company... making tens of thousands of dollars a month... and you choose to lose a substantial percentage of that income with no guarantees of a return on "following your moral compass" - let me know how that works out for you when someone from the ECF peanut gallery says... "hey - you guys should do more!"

That's taking it a little too far hahaha. I understand both points of view as to whether they should have dropped it or not, but I do feel like that doctor took it too far and basically said they were ignorant. Read that article if you haven't already. Yours truly had a little verbal battle in the comments section with the good doctor. I think I won lol

I don't see anything in this article that debunks the study.

Dr. Farsalinos calls the methodology into question (they anylized the liquid, not the vapor; and several of their samples were concentrated flavorings, not e-liquid), and consequently questions the researchers' conclusions.

Maybe the word debunking was the wrong one. But it talks about how the original study misinforms people. The tests were never done on vapor, they were done on liquids. Some of them concentrates. This same cinnamon flavoring causing so much debate is in other food products as well. It's really just been blown out of proportion.

Well, here we go again, for your information they have mentioned that if there does become an issue with the Cinnamon they would take care of it. I really wish that comments that are made like this have some real substance behind them. Take too much of cue from another individual here! And I fail to see how in the world it matter what the cheapest route it, the fact is they didn't have to do this for any reason but they did, so no matter what the outcome is, they still lose out on revenue.

Buying back all of their juice with cinnamon in it? I'm sorry but that's absurd. It's not like they sold a product that was faulty because of something they did. They sold a product that was decided to be perfectly fine and then "information" came to light that said it wasn't so they pulled it. Their actions were perfectly adequate.

There is nothing to "win" here. You're bickering on the internet with someone who has actually taken the time to research for YOUR health. If you were to start a company that sold transmissions for automobiles don't you think it's just to say they should do in depth research on all of their parts to avoid failure? It's the same principal. If you're selling a product and making profit off of the public then you better do your research prior. Pointing the finger was necessary to debunk the panic that had hit the e-market.

I'm sure if you mix some maple syrup, cinnamon and water you could send a bottle back that looks damn close haha.

Just curious what your relationship with MBV is or juice vending in general. Seems anytime someone has something critical to say, or even some productive criticism to share, you take it ultra personally.
