I've been following this thread and went to the Avid site to give their atomizers a look. Anyone know the differences between these atomizers being reviewed and the AERO bridgeless 306's? Or can someone point me to a discussion of them here on ECF?

Thanks!

I can't tell you the differences in the 306 version but a I can tell you my experience on the 510 version so far.

The aero 510 has more vapor, is warmer, and has less flavor. Each if these is pretty minimal IMHO. For me, it will boil down to longevity. They are both good attys.

There hasn't actually been a thread made about the Aero 306's. Bogey made one about the 510's though. Anyways, I got one of them to try out a weeks or so ago. Just put it on my polished mini. I have to say that the draw on this is horrible. It's worse then an i06. The flavor has decreased before I even got to half of the bottle which isn't a good sign. The TH and vapor is as good as any other Cisco atty.

Overall, I hope that it gets better after I finish this bottle and that there is a break in period. Since, it would be a shame for me to have to toss this in the trash. Also, this might be the first time that I actually hate an atomizer made by Cisco.

Thanks, don't know why but, I still haven't tried the hand held steamer method that you have used yet. It really is a better method of cleaning atties when I think about it. Went to my local Target and couldn't find it. So, I might have to resort to using the internet.

Have to admit that I save them in a little container once I'm done until I get 9 of them in there. So, I end up cleaning them once a week. Seems like the technique that's used for the 357 is really good. I'm gonna have to check that out and read the instructions on how it's cleaned.

Do agree that it sometimes get hard to remember which one has a good charge. My method is to change to a new battery before I leave the house regardless of how much power the batt has in it still. Also, like I said before I just take the atty off when I finish one bottle and put it in my "to clean" container. Makes life a whole lot easier for me.

Cool, hope you like them as much as I do.
I'm a clean freak too when it comes to attys. Not as bad as I used to be because they are working better for me.
But I still clean them every 3 days approx.

I have to thank the HH-357 and all the enthusiastic reviews for getting me back on the atty wagon.
Its the technique in use and cleaning the HH that has all my other attys working great for me as well.

I went a couple weeks without a carto going at all. I admit I have one Grand with a carto back on it at 3.7v
Its my grab and go unit that I know will always perform well. For the little amount I use it I can go 3-4 weeks with the same batt/bottle/carto. Its nice to have one that I know will do the trick with no fiddling.

If I grab a atty REO I have to remember if its charged enough or when I put the atty on.
(thats gets hard to do when you have 7 going) :D

LOL I don't really like to see the juice in my drip tip neither. Although, I do have a couple of pyrex tips that I use from time to time. Would imagine that it would feel weird with the cannons but, I would think that it wouldn't take long to get used to it. Still planning on getting one of those ripoffs or the SS dt that I mentioned. Guess I'll see what I think about it when I put one of them on my REO.

Oh, and ya the cannon drip tips are kinda weird feeling at first but they are hands down my favorite 306 DT.
Second would be the 306/510 adapter with a pawn on top.

I hate the skinny delrin or any clear drip tips .... I don't like to see my juice :D

Well I'm beginning to believe that without the bridge and wicking material the 306 and 510 behave closer to one another than they do with a bridge and wick.

I'm not detecting much difference at all in long term real world usage.
The 306 seems a little more flavorful in the first couple hours after a cleaning but a few hours in they seem to produce flavor and vapor that is identical to me.
The 510 might get a hit or two more between squonks .... not sure but it seems like it can hold more juice.

And the 306 does seem to keep the juice at the coil while sitting better. The 510 feels like I have to give a hard sharp draw to wet it again if its sat for an hour or more.

Both of them are fantastic atomizers that you don't have to spend 22 dollars on.

Here is my latest Grand ..... It was going to be a gift but I really like the color and feel and vape and .... You guys know.

But it does look awesome with a Cannon drip tip ...... and it matches my MacBook Pro pretty good too.

In your first post you said you were going to e using an atty w/ bridge for comparison. Did you wind up doing that? If so, how is it doing this far into your experiment?

Well, the brand new bridged version made it 3 days and when I took it off to clean it never made it back on ??
Sorry, I was having too much fun with these new ones.

But really I didn't see a whole lot of difference except the draw being a bit lighter on the bridgless ones.
But that could just be a few ... I find that every atty performs differently in some way even though they came from the same batch.

I agree and the upside for me that is I like the lighter draw better so now its a matter of lifespan. Time will tell but should they be the same then Im in the pro bridgeless camp. :)

I'm right there with ya .... I agree there should not be any difference in lifespan on these but just in case I'm holding off a while before I pad my stock with them.

I understand completely. Thanks for the quick reply. I ordered some with a bridge. Haven't had too much luck with bridgless attys. If I like 'em will try bridgless later.

Don't blame you for keeping it. Would've done the same thing and just wanted to say that it looks great!

I just wish my stupid cannon dt would fit on the 306 atties I bought with it from Cherry Vapes. I even emailed them a bout the fit and they just said that the atties might be a little too fat. No kidding, that was my complaint to begin with. I just expected the drip tip I bought from you would fit the atties I bought from you at the same time! Sorry, just had to rant after seeing how well your cannon fits on the Reo. Mine barely goes on enough to stay put. Grrrrr. . . Yours does look quite spiffy though, lol.

Hi, hopefully I can slip in here and ask a dumb question. Keep in mind I have a Reo Mini on the way and I have basically no knowledge at all about atomizers and trying to get a crash coarse reading in this forum. Only atty I am familiar with is a Joye 510 regular resistance atty I drip occasionally on variable voltage to taste test my DIY juices.

Edit: Mostly nevermind I was trying to figure out what the $20 attys were so expensive for but I wasn't looking at what I though I was, I think the ones you are talking about are about $9 so that is not so far out.

Well you kinda have to go back a ways to get the full story on that.

They made the cannon to fit on Cisco attys .... best drip tip to fit the best attys (at the time-maybe still) kind of thing.
They used to sell Cisco Spec attys right on their site. This was before Frank (Cisco) even had Avid vapor online.
Then Frank got smart and decided he would make all the cash off of his atomizers so he pulled them from every vendor and started selling them himself.

That left Cherry vape selling no atomizers or adding Joye attys to their site.
Problem is Cisco atomizers are smaller diameter and to better tolerance.
They used to say right in the description that they were "designed to fit on Cisco atomizers"
I believe when Cisco pulled his atomizers from them they no longer wanted to give him any free advertising so they took that out of the description.

No inside knowledge on any of this .... Just my observations of the past 18 months.

So if you want atomizers that the cannon fits on down to the base (or within 1/8 if an inch)
