So 2 weeks ago I decided it was time for an upgrade from my volcano magma starter kit, which got me off cigs and had served me faithfully for the past 5 months. I settled upon a 2xAA box mod from Madvapes and a couple of Joye LR 306s from Vaporflow, figuring this combo would hold me over until I can get my hands on a REAL mod at vapefest. I was blown away at first by the performance of the Joye branded 306s. Plumes of delicious tasting vapor would literally fill the room and look like a dense fog. Awesome, right? Well, it was a short lived honeymoon with this new equipment. After about a week, there was a SIGNIFICANT drop in performance. It was constantly clogging, leaking, and tasting horrible. That 'whooshing' sound that meant I was about to get a big hit was gone. I thought I must have gotten a dud, so I popped on the 2nd one, and by the end of the night was experiencing the exact same issues. I was very frustrated, and couldn't determine if it was the atty, the batteries, or something else causing the problems. So after a few days of nic fitting, one of my buddies received a pair of Cisco LR 306s from Avidvaper. He lent me his spare and WOW!!!!! The performance of the brand name 306 is FAR, FAR superior to the generic. It's not even a comparison, really. Hopefully this will get the word out regarding the differences between brand name and generic LR 306s. I don't want anyone else wasting their money. Just LOOK at them - it's quite obvious that both the design and materials used are not the same. I won't be ordering another LR 306 that doesn't have 'Cisco' written on its threading.
