Citric acid vs Malic acid

Which one is less likely to be harmful when vaped?

I know that both can be used as preservatives in juice production, but do both make e-liquids taste sour? Just how much malic acid would you have to add to make a juice noticeably sour?

They have a similar thermal decomposition issue, releasing carbon monoxide.

Whether this actually happens, I can't be sure, but they certainly do not boil. Ethanoic acid would boil easily but may be harsh on the lungs.

I don't know of a good way to achieve a sour/tart taste.

Ok, thanks That doesn't sound too good, but I have to start using something because some of my juices go stale pretty quick (I guess it depends on the flavor because all of the other ingredients are the same), and I hate having to refrigerate them, which only keeps them good for an extra week or so anyway. And mixing more often is not really an option for me right now.

Why do you think they become stale ? (Obviously they can)

Stored in airtight containers in cool and dark conditions they should be fine for a few months.
