Sour flavoring (malic acid) and canker sores?

Has anyone else experienced canker sores or anything similar after using liquid containing malic acid as a sour component? I noticed a couple sores and am trying to figure out if it was from the juice I made or just a coincidence with something I ate.

Are you prone to canker sores? Not a doc or anything, but my sister has problems with them. Some things seem to trigger them more than others.

A few canker sores starting popping up on the inside of my lower lip a while back..

Always been a little prone to them even during the pre-vape years, but noticed that it started happening / got worse when vaping too much Boba's Bounty & Gorilla juice.. I cut back on those, and sure enough, the canker sores started disappearing


Although it could have been anything non-vape-related, I'm fairly convinced that something in those 2 flavors (which are very similar) just set it off for me.. I no longer vape those two, and haven't had any issues since...
