OK I scanned the threads on here for anyone stating how the liquid reacts to the plastic tank on the nova and I saw a couple posts saying it should be fine but nothing definite. Does anyone know how well it would hold up?

I just bought some Whack-n-Crack Orange from TV and am wondering how it'll work.. I do plan on ordering some of the metal tanks later but I really want to try this liquid out LOL

Anyone have any idea?

Sorry, I've been afraid to try the one citrus flavor I have on the vivi nova. I've heard that it's safer in stardusts, because of the metal band encasing the bottom and top of the plastic, but the vivi doesn't have those. Use an atomizer to try it, maybe?
PS. One more reason I don't try the citrus. My GF says it smells like cat pee. :)

Well I gave in and put it in the nova.. I figure I plan on ordering more replacement tanks and some metal ones on the 1st so I should be ok at least for now.. Recently went through some drama with running out of cartos so now we're stocking up on things..

On a side note: The liquid is really good and I don't smell any cat pee LOL

i have not tried it out but will follow this post to see how you do

i've seen folks say before that yes they will eventualy erode the plastic but that it takes a long time to do so....like months of use...novas are only what 10-12 bucks so if i got 3-4 months and had to replace i wouldnt care too much

while we are on the subject of novas though, has anyone tried that new SLV nova out? the one that is essentially metal but has the window to check juice level? if the window is plastic doesn't this defeat the purpose of a metal nova tank? i.e. wont the window erode?

It's actually not just a Window, but metal sleeve over plastic tank. For looks, maybe more durable during a drop etc. I have one and like it for work.

As for citrus/cinnamon... In 4 months I've only had one tank have a reaction and ghost/deteriorate inside. It didn't leak, but I threw it out anyway. I figured a new tank is only $3, why take a chance. I'm now using a metal vivi nova tank for those type of juices.

Some metal tanks may seep or leak. I'm finding that messy threads or different angle are probably the culprit. It seems the metal tanks are cut/beveled at a steeper angle allowing seepage at the orings. I've added a thin layer of vaseline to the orings and leaking has stopped.

I have had a few Mini nova tanks that break at the threads on the tank, Im not sure if it was due to the juice ive been running (FSUSA Sour Gummy Worms). At first I thought I may have over tigtened the threads, but after 3 of them with the same problem i think it may be the juice. I upgraded all my mini novas and novas to metal tanks, just dont like that I cant see where the juice level is withouth screwing off the top.

IBTanked has some nice tanks that are affordable.

OTOH, I use citrus juices almost exclusively with a DCT Tank for several weeks now, without a single problem. I keep hearing about tanks melting, but I haven't experienced it myself.

LOL phiniac has been on my must haves list for awhile but I still can't afford them :p I do have a birthday coming up though.... hehe
