If they're working well for you stick with them. It's all about finding what works best for you, and it sounds like you've got a winner.
Theyre the best Ive found so far. And they arent expensive. Less then 7 bucks for a pack of premaid and 11 bucks for a 20 foot roll of wire. I was using the prebuilt but they just came out with the rolls of wire so I ordered that. Theyre out of China. Takes 15 to 2p days to get them. The local vape shop up the street sells the prebuilt. Thats how I found out about them. They come in 7 wraps and I add a wrap and use 8.

Someone can correct me if I am wrong, but I was under the impression that nichrome wire is best used in temp control mode. Your Hex Ohm 3 has only wattage mode, and no TC mode.
Nichrome cannot be used in temp control. Power mode only. Nickel (NI200) is TC only.

Acually I just got 9 wraps off the precoils. The leads were just long enough to fit in the layercake by district 5fve. Its the new cosmonaut.

I find that when I just use the seven wraps it heats up quicker and has better flavor then when I used 9 wraps. Does anyone know why?
I didn't work out the math, but less wraps (using the same type and gauge wire) results in a lower coil resistance for a warmer vape. Also, as Topwater said, less metal mass heats faster.

But why is the flavor so much better?
You happen to prefer that resistance. You perceive that it gives better flavor with that particular juice attachment and particular flavor you are using.

Different juice attachments, different coil resistances, different wattages all can have an effect on the perceived flavor of any flavor one uses.

Vaping is extremely subjective. I would probably find that resistance to be too warm to my liking.

Yeah, it's just what your brain and body like best, really. With less resistance you will get a different sort of vape.

What you are describing sounds like pure horror to me, but I like my resistance high and for the most part my mods regulated.

If you've found something you love, no reason to change it, just be sure you are doing your battery calculations (and you should CHECK what resistance 7 wraps gives you either using steam-engine.org, or ideally on an ohm's reader even if your mech has protections, it's always good to know you are not exceeding your safe mod and battery tolerances. Do the ohm's law thing anyway. Etc.

And you are using um, which batteries and from where did you get them?
