I just soaked my atty in diet dr pepper. Long story short, now it draws insanely hard. I have a 510. I can blow through it with complete ease, but inhaling from the other side feels clogged. I had another atty as a back up, then I realized the wicking material isn't properly fastened.

Does anyone know anything I can do for this?

If not, moral of the story, diet dr pepper isn't a substitute for cola. Somehow...

uh..is there any corn syrup in that drink? Just use hot water to boil the inside clean instead of soda pop...if you don't have anything else. You don't want all the ingredients in soda pop in your atty, UNLESS, it was the perfect cleaner, it's not, it's marginal. It works fair on some juices, remember, it's the mesh your trying to clean, that heavy dark sweet fuild doesn't seem to me, to be the right direction...cola too...wrong path in my opinion....boiling water, drinking alcohol, or mouthwash seems to do more for more people...

Try the Crest pro-health mouthwash cleaning method by Sattec. I think that's his name. And if you drip only, you should remove that wick material under the bridge each and every time. I had a atomizer with a hard draw and tried numerous cleaning attempts but to no avail. I then got a paper clip and pushed it thru the top round atomizer hole and this lightened the draw to normal. Do this as a last resort as you may damage your atty as the paper clip might dislodge the heating coil. Again last resort only.

Once I get around to going to CVS, i'll pick some Crest up. But it's 1 am and no ride available. Yup, it is sattec, look at your post above :p
And to answer your question sattec, there's no corn syrup/sugar or anything sticky, one of the plus sides of being a diet soda drinker. just carbonated water, phosphoric acid, color, flavor and caffiene. carbonated water sounds like a good secondary to phosphoric acid and the rest of the stuff in it shouldn't gunk up.

Quick question though, how do you reprime your atty?

News: it's working now, the draws a little less full as it used to be, but i'd say it's actually better like this.

How to prime an atty- If you drip, you should drip a freshly cleaned and dried atty about 6 drops of ejuice in the atty. Take a few primer puffs(without engaging the battery) to get that liquid to the heating coil. Then try using it normally. You may have to drip more depending if you have that burning taste. You will learn eventually how much liquid is to be used. If you only have prefilled carts and have just cleaned your atty then just drip 3 drops of eliquid on the atty and go normally from there. If you have no eliquid then do multiple primer puffs till you don't have that burnt taste.

This might be a little off topic, but i cannot yet post a new thread so I hope i can get some answers by posting here.

First off, i just got my first 2 ecigs from bestecigs! i got the 510 and the 103 from them and the 510 has been pretty good, plenty of vapor but i've had some issues with the 103.

Right off from the bat, I don't seem to be able to vape at all with the 103. i take a draw hard but no vapor is produced at all. the LED lights up and all but just no vapor and no joy. i then tried blowing through the mouthpiece and behold! vapor all over the place, leaking from the tip and the middle joint portion. If I take a draw quickly after doing that i get some vapor into my system but that's about it. plus the atty seems to heat up bad after doing that so i figure i must be doing something really wrong. What's wrong with my 103?

Also when using my 510, there seems to be a burning sensation on my tongue and at the back of my throat when i take a draw. After I blow the vapor out, also left with a strange plastic-ky aftertaste. I'm using methol carts btw. Is this normal? Is this the 'burnt flavor' that i've read about that plagues new ecigs? How do i get rid of this, if possible?

In any case, I'm still loving my 510 coz its hitting me well. Awesome stuff. Sorry about the noob questions but i just can't wait to start vaping 100%!

Have you ever spilled Diet Dr. Pepper? I drink it by the 2 liter It is sticky It has sweetner just not sugar. Boil some water and dunk and rinse is way better than soda if your in a jam.
