Cleaned cartomisers taste awful. Suggestions on better ones to buy?

Hi there,

I use these innokin cartomisers (I don't really have a great experience with this brand)
Innokin 510 Cartomisers (5) Empty £5.99 - Vaping Spares - Cartomisers Electronic Cigarettes | Vaping Devices | Accessories | E-Liquid

and this battery (82mm)
510 Automatic Batteries £7.95 - Vaping Spares - Batteries & Passthroughs Electronic Cigarettes | Vaping Devices | Accessories | E-Liquid

I used the cartomisers for the first time and then I cleaned them using this method by PBusardo.
A PBusardo Tutorial - How I clean my Boge 510 LR Cartos - YouTube

Unfortunately although I followed the steps very carefully, the cartomisers refilled again don't taste so well. I continuously get a burning sensation.
Do you think I can get some better cartomisers? After the experience, I don't think I'll be able to re-use my current ones.

unless you are really attached to using cartomizers I would say take a look at clearomizers. I like the CE5s and my Kanger protank. Other people have had good results with ViVi Nova (regular and mini) and Evods.

THe advantage is they are easily cleaned and for those I listed you can change out the 'heads" (the wicks and coils) rather than replace the whole thing.

If later you find yourself inclined all of them I listed can be rebuilt cutting the cost even further. Just rinse and dry your old bad heads for the clearos and drop them in a ziplock. Later if you decide to rebuild you can use those to do it and if you decide not to rebuild I am sure there are people here on ECF that would love to have them for spare parts.

I've tried cleaning cartos every way possible and they might be good for another day and then tight draw. Because you own a 510 cig sized PV be careful about the ohms you use- too low and you may fry the batt while too high and you'll get a weak vape.
If looking for a clearo Vision Nano Clearomizers (sorry ECF blocks the website)
are highly rated for your battery IF they're 2.2 ohms. I know there are some Nano 2.4 ohms floating around and that's too high. Email the vendor and ask what ohms they are. They are also the same diameter as your PV and look cool.

Also if you'd like to use them in a tank the F-16 tank by Boge is decent and really cheap as far as price is concerned. I keep 5-6 tanks ready whenever I go to work I use cartos for simplicity. When I go out or at home I use my rebuildables and dripping attys.

Everything mentioned is sold at Sure vapes, Myrany posted a link above.

I have the F17 tank and love it. its a tad slimmer so it fits better on the ego batterys. ALso cheap and simple to use.

Nothing is going to do well on those Cig-a-like Batteries.
Not enough power to warm up anything over 2.2ohms
Not enough storage to last long with anything under 2.2ohms

A simple Ego 650 or an Ego twist, Vision Twist would do much better. Couple that with a few Evods and spare Coils and you will be set.

2.7 ohm might be a bit high for your battery. You won't get a happy vapor production. I would say stay under 2.2, unler 2.0 would be even better.

Most clearomizers are much easier to clean and the coils/wicks just screw out so you can replace them.

That said I have one clearomizer (a CE5) that I have simply been refilling with the same juice for nearly 6 weeks. It is going strong.

Found these
Cartomisers and Atomisers - Clearomisers - Innokin Tidy 10 2.7 ohm - 510 Clearomizer 5 Pack

I wanna stick with cigarette type shape.
Are clearomiser easier to clean and can be used over and over again?

It's all good if you enjoy the cig sized. Those clearos are too high in ohms (2.7) . You want 2.0- 2.2 ohms.
Here's some 2.2 ohms Nano clearomizers.

My two cents, get bottom coils. EVOD, Protank, T3
The heads are easily replaced, so when they go bad you simply throw that out and screw in a new one. The tanks themselves can be cleaned with some hot water.
I'm by no means an expert, but I've always had trouble with top coil cart/clearomisers. Two years ago I first got into ecigs and gave up because of them. I decided to try again 2 weeks ago. Ended up with an EVOD and have not had an analog since.
Two weeks may not seem like a big deal, but if you knew me, you'd know it is. I am not a patient man, so something has to work right out of the box. And these bottomcoils do just that.
I got a Protank now too, and that's even better.

At first I wanted to stick with cigarette style ecig, but I have no regrets going with an ego passthrough with the EVOD.
I also have a VAMO that I use my protank on but that's too big to carry around.
The good thing about the ego/kanger combo, is I can put it in my pocket without much risk of it breaking.

I like these Vision Nano, I think I will buy them. Do you think there's a chance to find some without that mouth piece? Otherwise the ecig would be too long with an 82mm battery..

Realize the above clearomizers are disposable. Last about 2 weeks. There is no rebuildable clearo for your PV.

The above you mean the ones you linked or the ones I linked?
What is a PV? I'm so ignorant in this subject.
I would like to have something that I can use over and over agan and never throw away, without re-spending money in the future..
