I dont think that is a good idea. I would Soak it in Crest Pro Health mouthwash for about 20 mins, rinse very good with HOT water and blow the attie out and let it dry for 24 hours or so. Or you can use Vodak. That is what i use for mine
I dont know if this helps or not but sometimes when i dont have time to wait for it to dry i bake it for 20 minutes at 150 degree

Atties are a hit or miss from what i have read.
Now for me my atties are the joye510 , I have 3 in rotation at a time. Sence January I have only had to toss 2 in the trash.
Every night before i go to bed I blow them out as much as i can then turn them upside down to drain on a paper towel. then about every 2 weeks i will do a soak if i think they need it.

I started blowing out my attys at least once a day (when they've been used) and whenever I change juices. It only takes a few seconds and it seems to help the most. I've heard of people cleaning them with denture cleaning tablets but I haven't tried it yet.
Depending on what flavors you are vaping, blowing it out, or giving it a quick rinse and blowing it dry are great methods of cleaning.
If the vapor production starts dropping, or if you absolutely can't get a flavor out, or it starts tasting real crappy, the easiest method is a dry burn.
1. Rinse under hot tap water
2. Blow through the batter end and/or the mouth end
3. Repeat 1 and 2 until you you feel like it's good and clean
4. Let it become ABSOLUTELY bone dry - this is important
5. Pop it on a battery
6. Let it burn in 5 second blasts followed by brief cool down periods - you should hear little to no sizzle
7. Carefully repeat step 6 until you see the coil of the atty burn red for 2 seconds - If you're not careful here, you can wreck the atty
8. Let the atty completely cool
9. Repeat 1 - 3 again to get it good and clean
10. Let dry and vape away!
This method will burn off any junk still stuck in the atomizer. It's risky, because you could potentially destroy an atty, but it's the best way to really get it clean. I've done this numerous times, but never blown one yet.
Tips for drying
- A hair dryer on cool works GREAT! Set it in front of the dryer so that the dryer blows in the mouth end. Leave the dryer on cool for a couple mins and come back to a bone-dry atty!

I have been vaping since last June and have never once soaked an atty. All I ever do is blow them out and let them drain.
If you do insist on soaking, just remember to make sure that the atty is totally dry before you start using it.

In fact - it depends on the medium you tried to use to clean the atty - if that's alcohol then drying ot completely is not so crucial.
As for compressed air - is it really a poison? How come?
Using compressed air will probably damage the internals of your atty.
Just like most reputable mechanics don't recommend you use a flush machine on your transmission, because fluid isn't designed to shoot through the tranny like that, the same can be said about air and your atomizer.

There are many methods to clean an atomizer that is getting a bit clogged.
I believe they all work equally well, so now I just run it under hot water.
I used to do a Diet Coke bath until I learned that really isn't necessary.
On the other hand, cleaning the baked on gunk off the atomizer coil is different.
There is only ONE thing that can do that, a dry burn as suggested above.

Well... you're right - but only if you use canned air. By the way, difluoroethane is not that toxic, but that's another story.
Either way, I would still not use it. I just feel an obligation to let people know that canned air is not so innocent.

You can do it with an automatic battery, but you have to blow throught the battery end and watch in the mirror to see what is happening with the atomizer coil.
You really should read the thread I linked in my previous post first.
I used white vinegar to soak them a couple times now...they come out CLEAN afterwards. You must wash them through afterwards with water to flush them out. Quick dry burn when dry and they are better than new.
