Well, not really "just because"... Sharon was very rude and seemed to be pretty uninformed about things despite posting an "expert" opinion on the topic of ecigs. A lot of folks who frequent this forum know a thing or two about that.

The cleaning technique boils down to isopropyl alcohol baths plus dry burns.

It is sad and I hope she's not gone forever, but I hope if she comes back she's a little mellower

HzG8rGrl - you must be one hell of a nice forgiving person. That's a nice quality. But sometimes people bring things on to themselves. The responding posters retaliated due to her comments... The backlash that commenced was nobody's fault but her's.

So are you guys playing cards? and yes Grl is a seemingly very fair and nice person. I have seen many of her posts and not only on this forum.

Most of what you quoted in this post was just chit chat not really aimed at the OP, but the thread in general. However, the OP attacked and was rude to many people. As far as being a member of PIF, I don't tolerate unmitigated rudeness, as ridiculous and funny as that rudeness may be. But I will bet you dollars to doughnuts if Sharon came back and apologized and said she was having a bad day or something, we'd all forgive her and shrug it off. That's what we're about. Or at least what I'm about. Standing up for people and forgiving when it's required. Also remember that you cannot judge our entire group based on the words of but a few of us. We have over 500 members. The 3 of us, do not speak for all of them. If you choose to stay away from PIF for your own reasons, so be it. But I will not sit back while you try and make it seem like we are rude people. Most of us give until it hurts, until it bleeds. And that is what we will ALWAYS do. You haven't been to our group in ages, yet still if you were to go there right now and ask for something you're in need of, I'd guarantee you someone would help you out regardless of these words you've spoken against us. But no, go on. Keep thinking we are terrible people. That's fine.

Hz, We are. You know we are . . . . . and the behavior that was exhibited in the op's second post after someone asked a question/ made an observation, was just WAY over the top. I was not happy with the attack on Pirate. That was the attack that I saw.

I think all of us (new and old) should be able to ask a question without being the object of a tirade. There was no convincing her that it was just a question and she kept going. It was a little scary.

I didn't come to attack her. I came to defend someone who was being attacked and to let her know her behavior was not acceptable. If someone behaved that way on PIF, they would be gone. No one should be allowed to treat people that way.

I was definately interested in the atomizer cleaning aspect!
As I read through the thread it looked to me like no-one had hit the given links, I did. So I posted what I thought she was referencing. It is a puresmoke atomizer and not a puresmoke(r) atty.
I just don't think we should jump someone and have fun at her/his expense just because we feel we can. Doesn't really matter if she/he was working for a vendor or not-not really. Perhaps she/he was letting people know that the atomizer could be cleaned and the life preserved a bit longer.
I for one know nothing about that specific atomizer.

I wasn't having fun. I was furious. I also came here for the cleaning info but instead I got an earful of some really nasty stuff. I took it personally because if Pirate hadn't asked it, I would have. The same way . . just a question. Luckily I didn't ask because I lose less sleep when I am not the one being thrown to the wolves.

I don't know why you left PIF but I miss you.

I did say that Pirate was unnecessarily attacked. I bet Pirate thought a few things when he read the posts. I have those days, I try not to post too much during those 7 specific days-LOL.


Not judging the entire group-not judging anyone, really. Just the typed word is a difficult thing and the chit chat came off reading a bit different in my head.
Perhaps I did not make my statement properly.
Maybe I should have said:
When we are representing such a great group and an even greater group of people-we should be careful how we chit chat about others and help them to see the goodness in all who are trying to help or attempting to help understand something. Be a bit more tolerant.
Perhaps it all just caught me off guard and I should have stepped away from the keyboard. I still feel as though PIF is a great group. I was just a bit stunned.
Now to go read the ChitChat thread-LOL
Sallana-I visit the PIF threads everyday. I read all the posts. I can't post, because I am not a member any longer. That is the way the ball bounces. No reason to cry in my soup.

And, alcohol isn't abrasive. Sand is abrasive. Concrete is abrasive. Everything was abrasive in her first post and I became suspicious when she said alcohol was the most abrasive of all.

Eight months ago I bought my first e-cig, a PureSmoke. Since then I have had the pleasure of vaping some excellent PVs and I can tell you the PureSmoke is the biggest piece of garbage on the market.

If I'm not mistaken it's made in India and that's not the technology capital of the world or where most PVs are made. Here in California it's sold in many smoke shops because they are owned by Mid-Easterners. I imagine the owners have easy access to them in comparison to researching and getting them from China.

It might be good to get a little experience under your belt before coming on so strong.

Added: After researching on Alibaba it looks like they are manufacturered under the name of STEAMZ and have Distributors/Suppliers in India but ARE made in China.
