I have been reading looking for a good way to keep the vape produces clean and fresh. I do a decent job on the atomizers. Of course I don't have any left right now...but that's another story.
I have found the boil method, alkeehol drinking stuff and rubbing, blow it out, dry it in the oven. All in search of saving a few pennies maybe dollars. My time isn't worth anything so the time I spend doing whatever doesn't cost me anything. But, I mostly using the "hole in a water bottle cap method", make a hole in a water bottle cap, fill it with hot water I use filtered water checks out at zero on PPM, the hotter the better, use gloves, then squeeze it through one way then the other. Nice and clean, then I use compressed air to dry it, blow the water out. Do a couple dry burns and it's good to go. Baking it would probably be helpful to get all the water/moisture out.
So we do this to save money. I am as guilty as the next guy. Nothing is free, to run the compressor and oven costs money, making hot water uses electricity as well. The utility cost has to be a lot more expensive than just purchasing another pack of atomizers or cartos. The only way that it would be cost effective, to me anyway, would be to have a fairly large supply of atty's and/or cartos and spend an evening do the cleaning ritual.
I dunno, just thinking outloud. I will continue to clean my stuff but I would like to find an inexpensive way to do so. Cheers.
