Get a small bottle, pour enough into a glass to cover the atty, leave it to soak (upto overnight) pour the vodka back into the bottle and reuse. Might be an idea to relabel the bottle as atty cleaning fluid. I usually boil the atty in water, if metal, or if plasticky bits, soak in hot water afterwards.
My vodka bath usually has debris in it after soaking...not sure I'd want to reuse it..

Anything clear with a "high" proof should work. Just make sure you give it time to dry up before vaping with it again. :)

I personally use 80 proof vodka, something cheap and nasty like McCormick. I paid like $6 for 750ml. I don't use the high 150+ proof stuff because I like to dry burn the alcohol off and 150proof would probably flame up.

Tucson, it's a dry heat
I asked this before, but haven't seen a response - what about 91% Isopropyl alcohol (not labeled rubbing alcohol) for those of us who do not want booze in the house? I did use a bottle of cheap vodka, but it got expensive and I didn't reuse it (maybe I should have.)

I would think the rum would leave a residue or scent, unlike vodka.

EDIT: for right now, I'm heating water in the microwave and tossing the parts into the heated mug.

Isopropyl alcohol is a lot more toxic than Ethyl alcohol. I would not want to take a chance inhaling any part of that.

Isopropyl alcohol will definitely work to clean things but you have to be very sure to rinse well, and let it dry thoroughly, as it is toxic. If you rinse and dry though, it should be fine.
