Cleaning batteries and attys - newbie question

Hi all,
How often should I be cleaning my batteries and attys? I've had my 510 for about a week. Also, what do I use to clean them?

I wipe off the threads on my batteries and the charger before I put them on the charger. That's all you really need to do with those. I usually give my attys a soak in 91% Isopropyl Alcohol for about 15 minutes every week or so and then let them dry overnight. Easy and cheap.
