Can anyone please tell me why my cartos can't come clean after vaping TV tobacco? It tastes great with a new carto, but after a while starts to diminish. Rinsing them out doesn't seem to do squat. They all just taste skanky after that. And i can never get that great TV tobacco flavor in them again!! Anyone else have this happen to them? Any suggestions on how I can totally get the "old" flavor out of them? I separate my cartos and don't switch flavors in them. The TV Tobacco must have some underlying ingredient or component in it that just wants to linger in the carto and doesn't want to come out. I'm tossing cartos when I'm sure they can be saved if only they can be cleaned out better. Any suggestions?

Try giving 'em a boil. and letting them dry as much as possible before refilling. I have this issue with a few of my juices (There's a cappichino that I love but it turns skunky if not washed well). I've tried vodca and I don't see much of a diffrence. Tho the flavored vodca did leave a nice lingering pink lemonade taste after it dried out.

OK just an update. I read every freakin post regarding cleaning carts and I have had partial success. My TV Tobacco carts have come clean from repeated boiling and rinsing. Hooray!! But sadly, a few carts from my excursion with Harley56 still have a lingering essence, sort of like a washed out ashtry, so I'm not really sure I want to use them with my Tasty Vapor - wouldn't want to contaminate the great flavor AT ALL!!!! Also I am praying that my TV order will arrive tomorrow!!! I am down to about 5 mil's of TV Tobacco....YIKES!!!!!

I have the same problem with the TV tobacco. I really love it in a new carto but it doesn't last long and then can't seem to get the carto clean again. Wonder why just the tobacco does this?

Probably because the flavor from the tobacco flavor comes from macerating tobacco leaves which means there are probably plant oils etc etc in there instead of artificial or all natural flavors? Im not sure tho, but if it is only the tobacco flavor thats what I would put money on ;)

p.s. If you really want to bet, I prefer Tasty vapor juices over money! :p

I don't use cartos, but I've had some issues with the Tobacco/Menthol as well. I use highpings atty cleaning method, but I pre-soak with denture cleaner first. Getting the atty as close to "as new" condition seems to be the key. Word of caution, though: it's easy to fry an atty with this method if you're not careful.

Using a new atty, my flavor starts to drop off within just a few hours. After that I can usually continue to use that same atty an additional 12-24 hours before the build-up becomes extreme. I've tried the Tobacco/Menthol in both 901 and 510 attys with pretty much the same result. I've even tried mixing in a little PG to try and lessen the speed of the build-up, but I couldn't detect any difference.

I've lost a few attys trying to burn them clean, but all in all I just consider it a cost of doing business with this particular e-liquid. I love the flavor and to me it's worth the extra work and expense to keep using it. Currently I'm trying out one of the newer XL/Mega 510 attys and while it's early yet, the flavor seems to be holding up longer (almost 48 hours now and still getting good flavor/vapor). I don't know why the Mega atty would hold up any better than a standard 510, but I'll continue using it and give a more informed evaluation after more time has passed.

Edit: Mega 510 atty #1 stopped working this afternoon... it just "died". Could have just been a bad atty so I'm on to Mega atty #2 for further testing...
