I wouldn't make it a habbit of "cleaning" cartos.. technically you CAN, but with as cheap as they are, I'd just throw it out & use a new one if it really isn't vapable anymore..

If you must clean it, drop it in boiling water for 5 minutes, yes 60x5, that many seconds. Then set it in the sun for a few hours. Don't put it in the stove, don't dry burn it, let it dry naturally in the sun

When I used to use cartos about 6 months ago I would boil them for around 5 minutes, then I would put them in lemon juice for a bit, then I would boil them for another minute or two, then I would do the Taryn spin, then I would either let them dry overnight or put them in the sun like ninjuh suggested. I had 5 cartos that lasted a good month of daily use this way. They still worked, but by then I got an ego with clearomizers(startdusts) and never touched cartos again. I'm now looking into getting cartos again, and I'll probably use the same method to clean them.

I vape about 15 ml through a LR XL carto before I change them out. That's seven days of vaping for me.

After 15 ml I begin to get an off taste from old heated E-liquid concentrating in the carto filler. I don't bother with trying to clean them and just toss them out. Cleaning takes too much time and fuss for me.

One carto a week is pretty inexpensive compared to smoking a carton or more a week like I used to.

Boiling seems like too time consuming to me.

I run them under hot water, clutching them in my hand to the faucet to force water through them. Connection side down so as to not push the filling out. Set the water as hot as you can without hurting your hand and hold them like that for about 30 seconds. That seems to get all the flavor and gunk out.

To dry them, I do a taryn spin -- put them connection up into a pill bottle with some holes, and spin it on a string for a few seconds. Seems to get them dry enough to refill right away. If you're a perfectionist, let them sit overnight to finish drying.
