You can certainly clean them. People have different methods. Mine is to rinse them out under warm tap water, blow through mouthpiece end, rinse, etc. until the filler looks white. I let them dry overnight and put them in a bag of (uncooked) rice to draw the moisture out. Usually I'll let them sit in the rice a couple days but one could use them sooner.

As for replacing the filler material, some people have done that, yes. I personally don't since these are really disposable items. I do clean them a couple rounds before discarding though.

Then you have the 'no filler carto' mod by 'Dogsbody'.

To be honest I use to do this weekly thinking it makes a difference. Tried the rinsing method above, boiling, surenge method, etc. I did however find that sometimes the wadding just gets shrunk and makes the draw like milkshake hard.

Now I just pick 1 flavor for that cartomizer and stick to topping off or complete refill. I usually inspect it at refill and if it looks toasted i toss it, or if performance reduces. This way I find that they last much longer.

GL to ya!

I have not found a need to clean them. I did think i need to clean them out after i filled one with juice i didn't like. But then I learned the reverse taryn spin to get the yuck juice out, then refill it with juice i know I like. that one usually becomes the atomic cinnicde carto.

i've only used hard top cartos.

I don't use the hardcap 510s, but with hardcap kr808s all you need to do is to warm them up a bit to remove the endcap. Some people use a hairdryer, some dip them in boiling water (just the very tip of the carto) for about 45-60 sec and then pry the cap out gently. Piece of cake. I always do it not in order to clean the carto, but to inspect the interior prior to vaping.

How do you clean 510 hard cap cartos? I have trie to get the caps off them but it was too hard.

Hey Brandeeashylynn,
If you get a small pot and bring water to a boil then turn the eye off you can take your carto and stick just the mouth piece end in the hot water for about 20 or 30 seconds and it loosens the glue so you can get the hard cap off easier, this is what I do and it works pretty well. Hope this helps a lil :)

Is there anyway to clean cartos now and can I replace the foam in these? Just wanted to know if anyone has the answers?

I just boil them all at the same time until the boiling water doesn't smell eliquid maybe once every 3 weeks. I never saw anyone replace the foam in cartos, they are kind of stuck with the metal wire or something like that, would be really really hard to fit another one and they're cheap so no need to I guess.
