I made the horrible mistake of purchasing some JC samplers and after several rinses i cant get that horrible smell out of my carts. I read somewhere that some people give their carts a everclear bath. My question is this:

Is isopropl alcohol ok to clean and rinse the carts out with?

Thanks for any help.

id stick with the everclear, vodka, etc.....

personally, i dont want anything that should not be ingested to possibly be in my cartos...ie: rubbing alcohol!

..even if you clean it after the rubbing alcohol bath, you still run the risk of having some residue.

I was kind of thinking the same thing...but then i remembered that hard core alcoholics have been known to drink rubbing alcolhol as well.

thats true,
but there is isopropyl alcohol
and ethyl alcohol

..both sold as rubbing alcohol

the ethyl version is the same that you ingest for "drinking alcohol"...ie, vodka
isopropyl is not the "drinking" kind whatsoever

however,
there are ingredients added to both types of rubbing alcohol to prevent people from drinking them..... crap to intentionally make you sick and hurt you, which serve as the MAJOR deterent for ingesting them!

so even if it was the ethyl rubbing alcohol,
id stay away from it!

...you can pick up a bottle of no name vodka for like 8.99 for a 750 sized bottle,
and if you dont drink it, this should clean hundreds of carts on its own!
