Well, I have learned that I need to clean my eGo-C Twist more often. The center pin has gunk on it and it keeps getting stuck in. Once I pull it back out it works just fine - for a little while.

I vape a lot of cinnamon and peppermint and I know the cinnamon gets sticky.

What should I use to clean it? I have tried isopropyl Alcohol but it doesn’t seem to be cutting the gunk. Can I use wd-40? What are other good cleaners.

isopropyl will work - I'd only use it on batteries though. I use 151 proof cheap vodka "Galens" for almost all cleaning - it's consumable - ie. intended for human consumption - but.... use something else if you're going to drink vodka.

Use a toothpick - not a slim one, to clean out around the center post. I have Qtips at all my 'recharging sites' and wipe the outside of the battery 'flange' with a paper towel and then run the Qtip around the centerpost and threading on each charging - I hit the charger's threads as well. Unplug the charger if you're going to clean it with isopropyl or vodka.

If the top of the center post is really bad, use a small flat end screwdriver or dental pick, but put some vodka on it first and let it sit. Don't 'soak' it and don't let any liquids near the button.

WD40 is an oil and can be used for rust and I have used it on car batts, but I wouldn't use it to clean ecig batts.

As Kent mentioned use a tooth pick to get the gunk out from around the center pin. I'm still not sure how that stuff gets in there...my delivery systems don't leak all that often but my eGo connector is rank occasionally.

Iso should work, or if you get a paper towel just barely damp (ring as much water out as possible) and shove it in there, give the ego a full twist or two, that usually gets all of it out for me.

I've noticed a considerable difference - cleaner - since moving to the T2's and T3's, but it's a habit so I still hit them with the Qtip. using a paper towel With the toothpick is also a good idea - there is silicone in there and you don't want to 'dig it out'.

I'm waiting for the mini T3's and if they are just as clean as the T3's - the auto batt might be making a comeback for those that prefer cig style ecigs. The vapor isn't as much of course, but for some activities, it's nice to have.
