Hi There
I emptied out the cartomizers from my husbands smoke shop set (the cig2o) boiled them for 10 minutes, emptied the water rinsed and boiled for 10 minutes more. I then blew them all out sat them on their end and let them dry for about 20 hours on a papertowel. I filled a few up tonight and while you can taste the liquid there is absolutely no vape at all. So I took another one and put it under the blow dryer for a few minutes and filled it up. Same deal. no vape but a bit of flavor. Did i break it?
It has made me realize that the 510T will be his birthday present this year because I am NOT cleaning his cartomizers for him lol
Thanks for any help

yep dried out and work just fine :) I <3 cartos

Could always just order some more carts ;)

No seriously, I've been using the kr808D-1 since I started vaping (2 1/2 years ago). I stopped messing with cleaning them and trying to get more use out of them than they are designed for.

I do drip juice into my carts after the factory flavor has worn off, but generally, Im getting about a day per cart, sometimes 2 carts. A good 3 to 4 hours of heavy vaping, then its time to drip. It was getting expensive so I off set this with the purchase of a Go-Go. I can vape a go-go cart for almost 3 full days before dripping is useless. I can do a day with the go-go, and the next with my 808 gear. Im stretching the 808 carts, as well as the go-go carts.

A quick way to dry cartos is to put them in the oven at 175 degrees for about an hour. This has worked for me.

+1 for this. I was having the same issues as you when I was using (and I'm not saying I don't still -occasionally ;)) the kr808d-1 models. A member here suggested the oven method, and an even more thorough and quick way to do it... Tying the cartos white cap end up to the oven rack with jewelry wire or something similar. Works great, and only takes about an hour. Or else I go crazy waiting for my cartos to air dry for two days. Your patience must be worlds better than mine. @_@

After I clean them, I stand them open end up in the bottom of a heavy mug and set them outside in the sun for a couple of hours. The mug keeps them from blowing over/away (supposing we ever get any wind again), and right now, here in Texas, it has been over 100 degrees practically every day for almost 2 months. I may have to let them set for a few hours longer when it finally cools down some, until November or so, and then I guess it will be oven/blow dryer until March.

i found that they fit perfectly in the grid of my fan. I clean a bunch and stick them in there battery end out works great and looks funny :)

I've always done it this way... we run a fan constantly but even if we didn't, it's an efficient way to dry. Most fans have vents with gradually widening gaps between the guard plastic/metal pieces as you move away from the center of the fan, so many types will fit. I've also used the vents over an oven fan as well as central air vents to expedite drying.
