ok so i'm curious about a good way to clean pipettes, is it good to use dish soap or just rinse well with water? my main question is whether or not to bother using anything other than water, i have been using dish soap and rinsing thoroughly and then letting it sit for a day to dry out completely.

also i noticed that the flavor scent is still in the pipette i used to suck up the flavor concentrate :glare: not sure if the scent will affect my blends but i assume it will at least slightly.

i didn't think about this when i got all my DIY supplies, but its really a pain just having 4 pipettes because i don't want to contaminate my PG and VP nicotine solution with PG in my VG and VG in my PG (hah that sounded dirty :p) as well as flavors getting mixed or water from rinsing... i was thinking i would go to town mixing several different flavors up and sampling a bunch at once or in the same day, but it takes about a day for the pipettes to dry out completely... i'm guessing the only way i can avoid having to wait so long for them to dry is just getting a bunch but if anyone has any other tips i'm all ears...

I never had luck with those pipettes. I have a bowl of room temperature tap water by me when I DIY. I fill the syringe with water and swoosh it out of my syringe and make sure I get the water all out and it seems fine to me in between my mixings. I have not noticed any of the flavors mixing into my juices that affect it. I basically use my syringe for everything except the VG because it is too think. For the VG I use a flask. I figure the miniscule amount of anything from my syringe after flushing it out in water is just that, miniscule. It shouldn't amount to anything in the long run. Now maybe if I was using menthol, I would probably use a different syringe because menthol seems like it would be harder to get rid of out of a syringe. When I'm done mixing, I rinse my flask in hot water and leave it upside down in my dish drainer. Done deal. lol.

yea i feel the same way about miniscule amounts getting into the blend i'm mixing. what i'm more concerned about is miniscule amounts getting into my flavor concentrate, vg, and pg bottle many many times over the period of time i have it and it no longer being miniscule because of how many times it was contaminated with flavors, vg, pg, and/or water.
