Hello, I'll tell you how I do it.
I screw an ego type battery on to the ce2 (I use an ego because I don't really use them for
vaping anymore and I don't want to stress the threading of my usual vape gear).
While holding the tube with one hand and the ego with the other I slowly pull the ce2 out of the tank( the rubberish fill gromit will stay inside the tank)
I then use my fingernail to carefully go between the bottom cap and the tank, prying as I go around the tank, once the tank and cap are seperated evenly just a liitle all the way around I grab the cap and pull it off while twisting. Must be carefull not to lose the fill gromit if it's not stuck in the top cap.
I take something that fits inside the tube and push the top cap off the tube from the inside, it's easier then the prying method used for the bottom cap. If the fill gromit is still in the top cap I push it out with a paperclip or whatever I have handy.
I rinse the bottom and top caps, tube and fill gromit with warm/hot water at the sink then set them aside. I never use any type of soap, just rinsing with water works fine and I don't want the possibility of any residue left on the parts.
Next I rinse the ce2 thoroughly with warm/ hot water to get off all the remaining
juice, I also blow through form the ceramic cup a few times to ensure the cartos air passages are cleared. Once rinsed I carefully squeeze the wicks with a microfiber cloth/paper towel to remove as much water as possible. I squeeze each side of the wick twice at dry spots of the cloth, I guesstimate this must remove about 90% or more of the water.
Then it's time to dry burn the coil. I use my ego type batts for this since they only put out around 3.3 volts. I won't go into specifics on this as there are many tutorials and opinions on dry burning, but if you want my opinion just ask and I'll write it in another post.
Once the coil is cleaned and dry burned it's time for reassembly. I first insert the bottom cap into the tube with a screwing motion till the o-ring is fully inside the tube then push it in the rest of the way. If you don't use a twisting motion it's not good for the o-ring and can cause it to bind against the tube wall and not seal properly. If one tries to push the cap straight on, like I see in a few youtube videos, your much more likely to cut the o-ring,crack the tube(if plastic), pinch your finger, or just not get a good seal.
Next is inserting the ce2 into the bottom cap. I put the ce2 on an ego batt to make it easier to work with, then just gently push it into the cap, making sure the wicks have been placed inside the cartos tube so they don't get pinched. Then install the fill gomit back on the ceramic cup.
Before you you go any further you must decide how your going to fill the tank, directly from a juice bottle or with a syringe. I prefer using a syringe, so at this point I'll insert the top cap with a twisting motion until the o-ring is in the tube, then center the carto and slowly push the cap on the rest of the way, checking to make sure the fill gromit is seated properly. It would be easier to fill before the top cap is on but I find that the fill gromit can get piched and moved when putting on the cap. This makes it a pain to get fixed since the tank is already full and now you have to play around with the gromit to get it on properly. That's why I choose the syringe method of filling.
Now install your drip tip, add juice if you haven't already, slosh it around a bit to get the coil wet and your ready to vape.
