Yeah isopropyl alcohol is de natured wich is put in to prevent people from drinking. So I don't trust it either.

Yeah isopropyl alcohol is de natured wich is put in to prevent people from drinking. So I don't trust it either.
Vodka works but better to use PGA (pure grain alcohol) or Everclear, no aftertaste higher proof.
I'm wondering what's the average drying time for stock coils cleaned in vodka?

I imagine it will depend on the ambient temperature and humidity you expose your coils to. But if you are impacient (like me
) I would just throw my cleaned coil heads on a pie pan and pop it into the oven on its lowest setting (mine happens to be 170F). In about an hour they were bone dry. 
When I was using disposable coils, I tried vodka and it didn't seem to do much actual cleaning. I got better results boiling for 1/2 hour, judging by all the little black flakes in the water.
I've left plastic bottles submerged in a sealed container of vodka for a week with varying results. There are some odors that vodka apparently can't neutralize. Granted, sometimes it's impossible to completely deodorize HDPE bottles.

How many times have you been able to clean your stock coil with vodka and still have it taste ok?
