Cleaning your Vision

I usually use "Clear eyes" eye drops to clean my eyeballs or just rub the snot out of them with my fingers but I'm talkin about the new Vision Mini's here. lol

Has anyone had any luck cleaning these things like we do on the E2's? I've read that bad things happen when you pull the tube off so I'm thinking about rinsing it and dry burning it while assembled. I know I'll have to keep a close eye out for the coil heat melting the tube.

Anyone have a secrete cleaning process for these?

So I take it you were able to dry burn with it still assembled?

Yup. After rinsing under hot water, I carefully pulled the wicks up out of the tube and very carefully pushed a paper towel against them using a paper clip to help dry them off a little. I then carefully tucked them back down in and dry burned the coil clean. I blew a little air into the tube during each 5 second burn to help dissipate the heat. It's working as good as new.

It works great. First time I did it, I didn't blow or fish out the wicks. It still worked. No melting. Easy as pie. I suppose, if the thing is really gunked up, it can be soaked in alcohol first...

I cleaned one of my 1.5s last weekend. I just pulled out the cup seal. Soaked the carto in Everclear for a few minutes. Rinsed it out with hot water. Set it on the shelf for a few hours. Dry burned it at 3.3V on the Provari. I had no problem with the tube melting. Filled it up, and it worked like new. I had tried pulling the tube off. But when I saw that it didn't want to move easily, like a regular Fluxo does, I didn't try anymore. I decided to clean it with the tube on.

Wonder how these will do in an ultrasonic cleaner. I know certain plastics don't like ultrasonic cleaning. I'll give it a try let y'all know how that works this weekend.

biggest problem with not taking the tube off is that it takes a lot longer to dryburn if the wicks are wet, other than that, no difference that i have found.

It does take a little longer to dry burn and I don't wait for it to dry I just fill. Might get a little water in there and cause the first few drags to be off. Thing is I have only had to clean the original vision I got 3+ months ago twice. Would have cleaned a ce2 10 times by now. More than makes up for the added 30 seconds of cleaning.
