Cleaning is not going to weaken your attys. Atomizers as a whole aren't meant to last forever, that's why they're called "consumables", but basic, regular maintenance can help them last longer. It's just like changing the oil in your car.

I totally agree, I have been using the Mistress Method described in previous post on my 901 attys since July.. and have not lost a single one. I clean them twice a week, and find that each time I switch to a clean atty they seem to work even better...IMO

I park my eGo's on their noses (battery end down, mouthpiece up) all night and just vape away in the morning.

But do you just reach for it and vape in that circumstance, or do you fill it up again before you vape?

Also, this primer stuff that's supposedly coating the insides of atomizers, where is the primer usually located, does it cover the entire inside, or just around the coil? I've seen suggestions where you drip a few drops and blow them out again, but if there's primer all over the inside that won't really get rid of it would it?

And if one doesn't have isopropyl, what's the next best thing? Would soap and water work?

Never use soap to clean your attys. Soap will leave a residue that you won't be able to get out. Think "soap scum..." Eeeeewwww!

As far as going for my vape in the morning, sometimes I just grab it and go for it. I will usually put my "away kit" together and top off my cartos the night before on work days, then I don't have to mess with it. It doesn't take me very long to do it.

Sometimes attys arrive covered, no....SOAKED in primer. Sometimes there's hardly any at all. It just depends on where you bought them. If they're absolutely soaked, I'll rinse them in plain hot water and let them dry overnight. If there isn't a lot of it, I'll just blow them out real well, put a few drops of juice on the bridge and vape it.

How about using taquila? LOL a shot for me a shot for the atty..as shot for me a shot for the attys...another shot for me...

If Jose does to you what he does to me, ONE of you will be cleaned out. Not sure that I'd bet on the atty. ;)

Thank you all,I've had my 510 for a liitle over a month and have never cleaned it!!!It's a wonder it still works and it does work just fine( though it is hard to draw on).As we speak I'm soaking it in alcoho( l91%)using the tips you gave,I must admit though,I really like the ideal of not cleaning it at all, quess that's not really good for it though but it sure sounds good,I have enough cleaning to do as it is!!!!!Tomorrow is my anniversary,Christmas Eve,so wish me a happy analog free anniversary,I will be honest though and let you know if I'm successful,we have agreed to stop analogs(look at me using the lingo)on New Years Day but I want to give it a shot tomorrow.

I let my atty sit overnight after it has had an alcohol cleaning.

Then in the morning I blow it out - just because I do.

Here is the PRIME part:
Then I put 3 drops of juice in the atty and let it rest a couple minutes.

Then I put it on my battery, add 2 more drops of juice into the atty.

Then I puff away without inhaling the vapor - kinda' like starting up on a big ole' cigar.

Now I have a clean, primed, seasoned atty and I am ready to vape like a maniac. You're good to go.

Hope this helps,
Paula

ok maybe I'm just really new but here is my question, when you say you put 3 drops in the atty am I to take that literally because my 510 is a 3 piece and I must use a packing material in which goes the liqiud,so do you mean actually put the jiuce in the atty or the mouthpiece, please answer quickly before I destroy my equipment!!!!!!

You can just put 3 drops on the bridge inside the atty. When you look inside the piece that screws directly to the battery, you'll see the bridge - a silver mesh-like piece that's an upside down V. That's where you drip. The part with the packing material is the cart, which goes on top of the atty and is where you load your juice (or it comes pre-loaded) and that's the part that goes in your mouth.
