Since I started with the ecigs the first of this year, I am sleeping better, breathing easier, no more coughing in the morning, feeling great! It is strange, I haven't had any urge to go back with the help of the advice on these forums, good juice and having plenty of water each day. I do know that when I am vaping, I have to drink more water, but that is okay too! Good luck to you, hope you go for it!: Just my 2c:

It may not happen right away. When you quit smoking, whether using an ecig or not, your lungs will need to clear out all of the gunk built up in them. You may find yourself hacking and coughing up all kinds of lovely things.

The good news is, once this is cleared out, it gets sooooo much better. When I take a deep breath and exhale quickly, I hear nothing but air now. No phlegm or yucky gurgly sounds like I had when I was smoking. I noticed that I was breathing better at about three weeks in, and I've been vaping for just over two months now.

Now, I can blow up balloons, blow up pool toys, blow bubbles with my kids, and I don't feel winded or dizzy or like I need a break. I love it. I'm no doctor, but I can tell you that my lungs haven't felt this good since I was a teenager.

Hi,

Before deciding to buy my first unit, I was told by the guy that had one, that his breathing cleared up and no longer had a cough. Is this something that I can look forward to myself, although I don't have a cough.

Thanks

My breathing improved quite a bit since I stopped smoking and started vaping.

Plus my sense of smell if coming back slowly ... might not be a good thing ;)

Hope vaping is a big success for you whether you have a cough that needs curing or not. :toast:

Oh, and as for the coughing, I didn't notice how often I was coughing while smoking. It was just a normal part of life at the time. Since vaping, many people, my kids, my grandparents, my friends, have commented on how I'm not coughing all the time anymore. I can't believe I was so oblivious to how bad my smoker's cough was!

I never had a real bad cough but what little i had has diminished or gone away. The problem I did have with smoking was waking up with chronic nasal congestion that went away through the course of the day. After a couple of months this has, for the most part, gone away. It is sooooooo nice to wake up in the morning able to breath through my nose while brushing my teeth again.

It happened for me. More energy, better breathing, not so easily winded. Not sucking smoke into your lungs repeatedly turns out to be rather nice. :)

Oof, tell me about it. Drove past a rendering plant today. Driven past it a million times but never quite experienced it so... much...

I had a chronic cough that cleared up by the 3rd week. I didnt notice it at first, but each week it got much better until it was gone.
