what's in it for v1.5 ? what improvements ?

I don't believe this is being made by l-rider, so v1.5 is a bit of a misnomer. Apparently an engineer that used to work for l-rider started another factory? I'm more than a bit fuzzy on this.

I don't think it's the case. As far as I can tell, there are multiple manufacturers making multiple variations. Judging from watermarks on pictures, websites, rumors, etc., I believe that it's like this:

Chrome - UNIQ + whoever is making them for Liberty Flights, as they don't have the ego end-caps
Steel - J-Lin
V1.5 - Some new start-up
Regular lavatube - L-Rider and about a million others

Confused? Me, too.

Thank you, carlton.
Good deduction with scattered clues. ;- )
Time will tell.

Apollo has stated that the internals are the same, just the shell is upgraded including the connector. I am not sure what you mean by new display, but this iteration is supposed to be identical inside.

So are we hoping the ss version has this new display? :) if for some reqson it has a 3 amp limit and reads ohms I wil keep it and be happy. Maybe thegy have not been shipped because the internals are being upgraded!!!

The next version will have a LED and it will display ohms plus a higher amp restriction..it looks cool and will probably give a Provari a run for it's money..the tube costs about 1/4 the price as a Provari I'm very happy with my V1 VV Tube..sure I would like to buy American made but to me the Provari is overpriced by too much and I think it would be more fair if it cost about $100 or so..I doubt they cost that much to make that they should be close to $200 for just the device..looking forward to buying the version 2 VV Tube..the 1.5 version is supposed to be decent too and I believe it's coming this month :)

Well if its going to be $100.00 I would rather spend another 60.00 and get American made, plus proven track record.

$160 is just for the device..if you added in a battery and charger it's $187..if you wanted a end cap and 18650 + charger it's $209 and those are just the normal finish..not too long ago the Provari was over $180 for just the device..the starter kit is $211..I bet you will see the price go a lot lower too once more of the other VV devices hit the market and the prices get lower.

I bet the smok VV will come with batteries and charger for under $100..although I don't like the idea of stacked batteries and the V2 LT tube will be what I buy next most likely. Don't get me wrong The Provari looks like a decent device I just feel it should cost under $100 and if we can't make something like that for less than $100 retail in this country we are done for.

The Chinese are making the LT tube kits and selling them for $30 to retailers so that means they are probably making the whole kit for close to half that. Retailers are sometimes selling the LT kit for $60..someone in America should be able to come somewhat close to that...

There is definately a durability and QC difference there as well though. Perhaps provape should make a "lite"version that isn't 10 lbs and 1/4" stainless. I would like to have bought one...almost did, but decided to buy 4 LT's instead. Maybe the V2 will convince provape to put out the Gallardo as well as the current Murcielago model.

Yeah I don't see any reason they shouldn't make a aluminum coated Provari..it would probably be just about as durable in part because it would be a lot lighter. Being able to buy 3 or 4 LT's for the price of one Provari is one of the reasons I bought a LT..I know I would like to have 2 VV Tubes at the least in the future and 2 Provari's are out of the question for that price.

I also prefer having +/- buttons to adjust the voltage..the LT could probably lose the power button and I wouldn't care either way. A couple minor improvements that could put a SS LT in line with a Provari would be a better window for the display and SS buttons. But I think the LT is decent quality for the price..actually it was better than I expected from reading about it before buying one.

I have recently ordered the Vtube SS mini and from the pic's I have seen on the SS Vtube and the V2.0 Vtube look identical. Just so I am clear, are these actually 2 different models with different/improved internals with improved capabilities? If so and the 2.0 is coming soon I would probably request a refund and apply it to the purchase of the updated model. Thanks
