Clearing memory of evolv dna vt40

Just read last night about clearing memory of settings on dna devices. I tried this today with nano and occ nickel coil. Firing device without attomizer attached. Didnt see this in instructions in box. So I did this, attached my tank. Resistance read . 15 on screen, set lock atty, temperature, then watts.. Seems to be working for now.
Is this the step by step method for dna to devices? Just checking if I have it right.

How do like it? I though the device was solid but mine had a real problem. I posted info on the threads(on the first post).
