Hi, first my apologies. I'm new to ecigs, just started with my volt kit a couple of weeks ago. Still using cartos with 65/78. Already thinking of moving up to x2 batts, and using a clearo of some sort. I realize YMMV, but in general, assuming regular cleaning, if I start with a 30 ml bottle of juice, will the clearo last 0.5 bottle, 1 bottle or longer?

- 1 nano
- 1 CE3
- 1 x2
- 1 x2 T3

If there are any other SI products I am missing, lemme know.

Also, I have been reading some negative reviews about leaking or cracks. Some say their juice causes damage. Is it flavor? PG/VG content? I'm guessing the juice heats up too much causing catostrophic failure, but that is just a wild guess.

I started ecigs for 2 reasons, health and $$ savings.... Well, it didn't take me long to realize I'm a few months away from seeing any savings, too much HW to check out, and juices to taste to find something I really like. I've tried 8 different flavors from SI, and can't say I really love any of them.... Good enough to quit smooking, tho. I am trying to be a good boy and not spend MORE than I would have buying my marlboros.

I appreciate any and all opinions. Thx.

Can't speak for the CE3's or Nano's, but the clearomizer tanks are great. SI says they last about 2 weeks....pfffffft.

I have been using some for a couple months. But I have more than one and each one has it's own flavor. They are also very easy to clean and switch flavors. Although I do use them with a 78mm battery, it looks ungainly (I don't care) and is a weaker vape than with the X2.

As far as cracking, well one of my main vapes is a Cinnamon / menthol blend that I bought, and now mix on my own. Cinnamon is supposed to be one of the worst flavors for cracking tanks. It has never done a thing to the clearomizers, nanos or CE3's I put it in, so I wouldn't worry about juices with whatever way you decide to go.

Unless your finances are super super tight (mine are at times, so I understand) don't get too hung up about trying things here. The real savings are to your health, and the dollars eventually. Hehe, I actually created a spreadsheet to compare stinkies vs e-cigs. I was getting my stinkies cheap ($30 a carton) as of today I am technically $182 ahead, but just ordered a bunch of stuff from wizard labs. And will be ordering from SI again next week if the clearomizers come in. Besides, I LIKE e-cigs so much more than tobacco, if it were more expensive, I would still be doing it.

Happy Vaping!

Sitting down, facing forward.
I've been using the same clearos for over four months so far, SI must love that LOL. I am still using two of the original 10 CE3s I bought when they came out in mid July. Either way, they both last a long, long time, way over a couple of 30ml bottles of liquid. Hopefully, the T3 will have that same durability, only time will tell.

SI (and other companies) had some clearos out prior to the X2 clearo. These clearos would crack. The X2 clearos came out when the CE3s did to fix this issue. I got the CE3s and have no reason to try anything else.

I had 3 pre X2 clearos. I put some citrus type liquid in them and the plastic had a film build up on them. I poured some boiling water over them. The plastic warped. Note these are the ones prior to the new X2 Clearos which came out to fix these problems.

Incidentally I poured boiling water over the pre X2 clearos and some CE3s. The CE3s live to vape again. The pre X2 clearos are now out to the Rumpke landfill.

Personally, the X2 Clearos would last me about a month before the coil would get too gunked up. Every time I tried to dry burn it, it would fry the wicking. If not that, then usually the seal would break on me in some way and I would get too much liquid through the battery end onto the battery for my liking, and toss.

The CE3's last me about a week or two before they eaither started leaking or the coil would get too gunked up and cause a bad taste. Again, unable to dry burn without burning the little wicks.

I've only had one Nano, and it lasted a little less than a week before a seal went out between the metal part that screws onto the battery, and it's tank.

Standard cartos last me about 4-7 days before the flavor changes too much for me. I'm really picky about the flavor, and then just chuck em.

Your mileage may vary - I really don't see how any of those devices can last someone months, I'd really like to see how the vapor tastes and the vapor quantity compared to a new one after that amount of time. Again, I'm really picky about my gear and tend to toss after any issues develop or and taste or vapor quantity changes, even if a minor amount.

Hope this helps,

well i'll tell you,i have 21 ce3s that are around 4 months in use and they taste as good as the day i took them out of the box,,,like any thing in life you have to maintain them to keep them working right.

the ce3s are the best juice system i have tryed and i have a feeling i will be using them a long time,,maybe not the ones i have now,,but a ce3 type clearomizer.

lets all salute the ce3,,,hey,hey,hey,,,,,,,,,,may it go down in glory!

I suspect the issue I have with part longevity is with the dry burn and/or coil cleaning. I find that after only a few days that the coil gets a black coating on it, and it causes a performance loss. Every time I try to dry burn I can't seem to get all the gunk off.

For example, I recently got a Vivi Nova system, and found the coil to have black residue on it after only 2ml of RY4 vaped through it. It is really easy to see the coil in that system.

Any suggestions? The coil is definitely the weakest link in the systems, I think, regardless of carto/clearo, etc.

The cracks were on the old polycarbonate ones, and how some of the chemicals in eliquids reacted with polycarbonate. None of SI's clearos/nanos/t3s/ce3s are made out of that stuff anymore. Some still report problems with certain flavors - honeysuckle, one type of banana (probably "ripe banana") and a couple of others I don't remember - but the problems aren't nearly as bad as when they first came out in pc. The CE3s are made out of a whole different plastic altogether, so if that's a concern for you, that might be the safest one.

Have you seen outlaw vapers videos on Youtube? They are chocked full of good info about SI supplies.

I have seen his videos. One thing I noticed is that during his dry burn Clearo video, his coil actually glowed. I tried to replicate, and never could actually see the coil glow. Well before the vapor quit coming out, the burnt wick smell would come through. Maybe I waited too long to clean? I will try on my Vivi Nova and see what happens.

What you smelled may have only been the gunk burning off. It does smell bad, but it shouldn't have been the wick burning with short bursts of power. You might go ahead and load up a little test juice and that would tell you if the wicks were burnt.

Well, when I've dry burned I am pushing the button for more than 1 or 2 seconds........maybe I'll try that. And maybe it is the gunk burning, and I just need to give it more time. I'll be doing some dry burning this weekend, and will try your suggestions, thanks.

I use SI's RY4 and Virgin Vapor's Kona Velvet Milkshake as my main vapes. I have a dozen or so samples I am working through, too.
