Clearo w/alcohol/chemical taste?!?!

The picture you see below of my eGo-T and Clearo is how my girlfriend purchased it for me. It came with a free 10ml bottle of e-liquid (Dekang) 18mg cappuccino is what I got. The first half hour was great but once I got home the flavor started to turn... it turned nasty! I don't know what the good folks at Dekang put in their cappuccino be it Vodka or Mad Dog 20/20 or whatever but I am pretty sure it went bad some how. I had to drain the clearo out and nearly dry fire hit it a few to 7 times until I got a slight burnt taste to get the nasty e-liquid out.

Once that was taken care of I decided to give my clearo another try as I had set it aside once that flavor issue happened and I just used my VK carto's... which are outstanding by the way. Since I had a 5ml empty bottle (Pictured at left) and some great Red Oak Domestic as well as some decent cream flavored VG e-juice, I decided to experiment. Into the 5ml bottle went 150 drops of Domestic and 15 drops of cream resulting in the golden delight you see pictured in my clearomizer. I haven't decided if I want to call it "Domesticream" or "Golden Honey" or "QX4"... The bad flavor/odor is gone from the clearo and this stuff taste great. I may add another 5-10 drops of the cream though... not that it needs it.

Have any of you had bad e-liquid or can you relate? If so, what was the cause of your bad flavor?

As you can see by the number of views and no responses that you are definitely in the minority thxone. I've had a few bad experiences in taste but it turned out to be a small rubber grommet that is used to hold the end of the heating coil in place. Perhaps someone who's had experience with those fluids specifically will catch this "bump" and give you more pertinent information.

Taste is so subjective as well.. Alot of people really love vaping chocolate flavors... But that is a flavor that starts out ok and becomes intolerable within a half hour for me. Mebbe Dekang Cappucino does that to you... mebbe all cappucino flavors will do that to you.. Everyones taste buds are diff...

Oh, that reminds me: Since I DIY all my own, I've made a few mixes that were just awful. One in particular had some coffee that just tasted nasty. I put it away in my drawer of "failed attempts" and forgot about it. Three months later while looking for something completely unrelated, I noticed that mix. I figured since I was a bit "older and wiser" I'd revisit my original idea and try to see if I could nail down the problem and make a better batch. Low and behold, that nasty batch had turned into a really rich vape! So good, that I'm glad I kept the original recipe and am attempting to reproduce it again.

I write all of that to suggest that you toss that odd tasting fluid in a cool, dark place and try it again in a week, month, or possibly longer. You never know...

I got it from a local smoke shop here in Concord, NC on Hwy 29 near a Supercenter Walmart... in the same parking lot. I don't know the name of the place and the box the Cream came in was a white and green box. No name brand or anything. On one side it says VG and the other side of the bottle says Cream, High. When I go back to that store I will find out what it is, who makes it and the name of the store.

I believe this is the place I went to, as you can see from the pic, it's a pretty generic box... no other writing on it just those stickers.

Ok, I have been "steeping" my Dekang cappuccino for 48 hours with the lid off... still smells like doo doo. But because a lot of you say Dekang is good I bought another small 10ml bottle today... Blackberry!!! WOW!!!! It is different but darn pleasing to vape in my VK 2.0ohm carto. I think I just have a bad bottle of cappuccino so I am taking it back to see if they will exchange it. I am glad I didn't give up just yet on the Dekang.
