I've been down the road with the cracking due to the juice but I have both the CE2 and fluxomizers. A couple of things I have noticed: The fluxomizers do not really fit the 510 950 mah battery correctly. There's about a 5-10 thousands of an inch gap where it screws into the battery. The CE2's fit fine.

Also, the CE2's are cracking at the base. I've lost 6 to that already and I treat them well too. The fluxomizers, not so much, maybe 1 out of 15.

I know I can do the BD syringe mod but is there an opaque tank , 2ml capacity or so, similar setup, that won't be so prone to base cracking? I'm just not happy with this right now.

I've mentioned a few times that they should miniaturize the Giantomizer design, i.e. a metallic casing with a small clear window. Even if it's a little thicker than normal, I don't mind.

But anyway to minimize the cracking, I found that wrapping the base of the carto near the threads with sticky tape (the strong clear generic type, not the weak cloudy stuff) doubles the strength of the carto and keeps the thing in one piece. You still need to baby it since the metal base tends to jump out when it feels like it, but at least it is useable.

Yep, I did that with clear packing tape but after the fact. It works ok I guess. Some leaking with one of them. I want to see that CE3 come out and if it works as well as they say it does I'll buy them.

I take care of these too, never in my pocket, use the cone, be careful but they still crack.

I haven't had any cracking due to juice nor at all with last version before the fat wicks and thicker tubes. I loved those and that's what prompted me to get these. I got 3 boxes of the new fat wick, thicker wall Fluxos in yesterday. Opened my first one and multiple cracks at the base, opened another same thing. 3 out of the first box were cracked at the base.

What I'm thinking and it seems to me like the thicker tubes changed the inner diameter but they didn't compensate for that at the base of the connector because I can run my finger down the side and feel a bulge where the tube slides over the base. This seems to be putting to much stress on the tube and causing it to crack.

I'm no genius by any means but I do know if you change the inner diameter of the tube the pressure fit connection should be changed also to compensate. Anyway I haven't opened the other two boxes yet, I've got a email into GotVapes to see what they want me to do with those.

They just need to make the metal ones so that you can take the tube off for cleaning, then I'll be a happy camper. I didn't order any more clearos, but I did get some replacement tubes for the ones I have, that way I can at least get my money's worth out of them. I got some of the metal ones too. I just need to be sure I like the juices I put in them. :)

Ive personally ran through about 8 of these so far, other then the 3 melting in my hand i have not had any other issues. No base cracking to report yet. Although i think my cinnibomb carts clock is ticking. I ordered 12 boxes over all so im hoping they work out for at least 80% of my daily vapes. Wicking has been good, but vapor production is not as good as some other clearos ive tried. Ill chime in if i run into anything else.

Got Vapes has five pack of tubes only for $2.49. I'm ordering some. I have the Clearomizers and Fluxomizers from when they first came out. The only one I've had time to play with cracked at the top after a couple of fills and a cleaning. I'm certainly going to buy some of the spare tubes whether I keep the clear/flux or give them away.

The juice I was using was FSUSA Hopscotch or Butterscotch Almond.

Today i had VB Snickerdoodle melt a .8 reg clearo in 24 hours. Did a test on an XL to see if it was the pack that was a problem, Had the Snickdoodle melt the XL in 10 minutes, Once again didnt even get to use the thing. Filled it, set it down for 10 minutes, picked it up and it was over. Bubblegum on the other hand still going strong after 4 days in the same clearo.
Anyone know if Gotvapes will do anything regarding this? This is now starting to really upset me. Im averaging 2 defects per box, if i was stupid enough to keep using the same juice, it would be 5/5 defects. Snickerdoodle is not even available from VB right now and here i am wasting it on garbage clearos. Just ridiculous!

I'm sure if you contact gotvapes via e-Mail they will try to do something for you. Perhaps send you some replacement tubes that are supposed to hold up better to some juices.

I've been thinking about ordering the Rev. 5s, do they have this cracking problem? I mostly vape ry4, 555, wyatt earp and max/boro from fususa in 50/50/24mg.

Yes they have a problem with cracking. If you look at the edges of the plastic tubes under magnification all of them start out with small chips and cracks. I would guess this happens when they are cut to size.
Even when they don't crack the carto can fall apart.

Juice wise you should be Ok, I vape similar juices and have no problems. It's the juices that contain malic acid that melt them.

You may get cracking for other reasons; manufacturing stress, shipping stress...

The R6 Clearo's last alittle longer before cracking at the batt connector, got three days with my 50/50 Cinnamon afore the cracks showed up. I'm stubborn enough to stay with my juice in spite of the cracking. I'll be a usin the big clear tanks from now on. At least until Microcig really fixes this problem. JMHO

Cheers,

All of these reasons contribute but the small chips on the edges on both ends are there on brand new cartos. When I cut plastic wiih a saw blade that is what the edges look like. The less teeth the bigger the chips. If I need a smooth cut I use a diamond blade.
