Something needs to be wrapped around the base near the threads since that's the part that takes the most abuse. All mine crack at the base after a few days even after babying them.

Wrapping sticky tape around the base helps alot but they should add something in the factory, such as a thin piece of aluminum.

Even if half the carto was metal on the thread end, and the rest was plastic, perhaps that would help... you can still see the liquid level just by tilting the carto.

But ultimately, miniturizing the Giantomizer is the best solution imo

mine also cracked so I took a couple of carto condoms and cut them and slid them over the ends and it helps lol

Until they change the plastic I'm moving to the metal ones. I abuse the heck out of the metal ones on mini bats...no leaks. They'll come apart like the clearos too if I really need to change the flavor...getting them back together without leaks I just wrap a bit of teflon tape around the bottom and shove it back together.

Love the way they vape...hate the cracking and leaking of the clearos.
I did buy some of the clearos...I use them a while, flip them when the base cracks, use them some more, by then if the coil is still good, I'll salavge them with the 3ml syringe trick.

For cinnamon and fruity flavors...I go straight to metal or syringe....don't even put that in a clearo.

That's a pretty wicked idea, I'll keep that in mind when I get my first order of clearos in. I saved all my boge carto condoms for stuff like this, haha.

Where are people saying they get REV 5's and now REV 6?

The manufacture is currently at REV 4 as I understand it.

I gave up trying to figure out the rev numbers; thought I had it figured out. Some US suppliers were using the term r5 for the clearomizers when the factory did not. Then came the new wicks. I think it was COV that said Martinez himself used the term r6 so go figure.

I guess we can call them what we want.

I hear you...

The REV levels have been a mess from day one.

Do you remember when the R4's first came out? People waited weeks only to get R3's in the mail. R3's cartos with a R4 / Prodution Date sticker on the box.

When people compained the official answer was that the sticker showed the date the "Box" was made and not the cartos. What a joke.

By not branding the cartos or even the boxes, it allows MiT/RS/e-liquid.con to sell old stock mixed in with new stock.

Martinez, the CEO of RS is a...ummm....how do I put this nicely.....a jerk (cleanest word I could think of). He uses us as lab rats for his piss poor products. I got tired of modding all the ce2's that I had. If you don't mod them, even the r5's, the vape is still poor. We pay good money to have it work out of the box...pffffffffffttttttt.......Martinez could care less about us. He is only in it for the money and nothing else.

They suck. I will never buy any more. Most cracked. The ones that didn't leaked anyway. And I don't think the wicking was designed for anything other than pure PG juice.

The only way I found to salvage them was to either do the BD-syringe mod or get a MAP-style tank from Good Prophets. The tank lets you screw the internals from the CE2 into the tank. They are called the "Simple System Reservoir" or something like that. Search their site for SSR. If they are out of stock (which they frequently are) your search will yield no results.

Anybody - if you get the SSR and would like to use the XL length suckomizer CE2 - let me know (via PM) and I'll send you a piece of tubing that will fit the XL size. I have a bunch of it laying around.

China supposedly changed to a thicker tube...pffftttt!...mod them with a BD syringe and you'll be alot happier. I don't fool with the manufacturer's tubes. Pull them off and chuck.
Absolutely...the BD syringe is the answer - In WA you can buy these in Drug stores (.20 apiece, full syringe, used for flu shots, will yield two reg tubes) - I'm surprised that no one is talking about the silicone gasket at the base of the e2 chamber - I broke one of these early on when replacing the tube after cleaning and this is really what keeps these from leaking (provided you don't have a crack that extends above this) - ruined another cE2 a few months ago and decided to roll the gasket off and keep it (rolled up not down) - I replaced the tube on my latest leaker with a BD tube and it still leaked a tiny bit - vaped it dry, removed the BD, rolled on that kept gasket, replaced the BD and no leaks - too bad they don't sell these gaskets/washers

There are no other players. MiT makes them and RS sells them. This is the fundamental problem the E2's. If there was some competition, like someone who knows that different plastics crack when exposed to different chemical compounds, MiT/RS would have to get there act together to stay in business.

As it is now, they can continue to churn out sub-standard products, with little or no quality control, and sit back and laugh while the retailers get slammed for selling garbage. Laugh that is while making huge profits without having to hire Chemical/Industrial Engineers or Quality Control personnel.

One thing I found about 1 BD 3ml syringe tubes, that I haven't heard people mention, is that the plunger end has a slightly smaller inside diameter than the rest of the tube. This is what keeps the plunger from popping out the end when you pull the plunger all the way back.

I cut the finger tabs off the syringe tube at the plunger end then cut the tube to length. Nice that it has lines on it to show me where to cut for either a regular or an XL carto. I use the plunger end of the tube to go on the battery connector of the E2 guts.

But since the plunger end has a slightly inside diameter, it can be difficult to press onto the battery connector of the E2 battery connector. So I submerge the last 1/4" or so of the syringe tube in hot water for about 30 seconds before pressing it onto the E2 guts. This softens it a bit so it goes over the battery connector easier. And it makes a good seal when it cools.
