So I bought clearomizers for the 1st time ce2 ultimate XLs, Ce3 X7 micromizers and eGo vision (stardust). Okay so heres my honest opinion good and bad. First off right out the package I filled 1 Ce2 and 1 Ce3 w/ bobas bounty (not giving them a chance I know) and the 2 eG0 visions I filled w/ PS juices. Oh yeah also filled a Ce2 w/ the sample sent by PS their riptide flavor. Took 2 or 3 drags from the Ce3 X7 filled w/ bobas bounty tasted bad / burnt so I went to look inside the atty, when I pulled on the drip tip (standard 510 not supplied) the whole tube come flying apart and I am now wearing my juice. Okay great I set that one aside and picked up the next it's also off flavor and burning. I run straight to youtube to find a "fix" Chris's video from gotvapes on Ce2s helped I removed the inner seals and replaced only 1 of the O-rings inside and the Ce2s are now fine (still slight taste of plastic). The Ce3s on the other hand, there is nothing I can do they are slotted down the sides of the insert inside the tank to allow juice to flow down into the atty. This would be a great idea if the insert was not made of plastic and had 2 LEDs pressed so tightly into it that it bulges out right above the slits that allow juice to pass through blocking it from wicking properly. You would think they would / could look at their products as they come off the assembly line, like a test maybe (I'm such a smart ...) to catch issues like this so they could be addressed. I think some sand paper and some patients I can get them wicking we'll see. I'm still not impressed I would be if they worked out of the box w/o modding them at all. Finally the eGo vision (stardust). These were extremely easy to fill; cap off, fill, cap on and vape away, cool. I wasnt sure what to expect after watching several mixed reviews. Damn these are nice I'm vaping, vaping and vaping no dry hits and great flavor. If only I had bought the eGo adapted so they could screw on to my omega. Two days of vaping and several tanks later I am still very happy w/ the eGo visions. We need a solid working clreaomizer like these for 510s and 808s. The only thing I think could be improved is increasing the caliber of the metal tube coming out the top of the atty going into the drip tip to allow more air flow. I will be buying the adapter next order these are my go to carts for the moment.

My opinion:

Ce2 XL clearomizers: good after a slight modification

Ce3 X7 micromizers: still out on these I'd like to attempt sanding down the insert to allow more juice to flow down to the wicks before claiming epic fail

eGo vision (stardust): these are freaking awesome, if they allow more air flow they would be untouchable

Thanks for reading

Have you tried the rest of the Vision line? The Nanos and Micros are both good sizes for slim 510s.

Fluxos are really annoying with all the modding needed. The X7s were really hit-or-miss with me, and since they're bottom coil it's a lot harder to fiddle with them. I haven't tried the Stardusts, but I've generally heard good things.

The other Visions have a top coil 2-wick design, very similar to the Fluxos, but only have one seal/plug inside and it's easy to remove. They do have a whistle tip mouthpiece that some people dislike, but I love it, it's really comfortable to me. I use 50/50 juice without any wicking problems, and I know many people report no problems with even higher VG juice.

Since you like the Stardusts I definitely suggest giving the other Visions a try.

I have a couple of the 'stardusts' from the 2nd batch that had an awesome hit, but they ended up w/ cracks. At the same time as I ordered them I ordered a couple of the XpressOmizer Clearomizers (3.5ml), both from ecigexpress, they have kind of an airy hit, but they vape as well as the 'stardust'. (They are a bit on the long side, so I don't take them to work. I use 'em at home & when I'm just out & about for a little while.

I now have 5 of the new revision Stardusts from GotVapes. They still provide great taste, but the draw is pretty stiff and a couple of them have very tight threads - as if they're a bit undersized. I really hope these don't crack like the last batch.

I did order some modeler's glue (per moultons ' post) to try & repair the cracks. I still hope the manufacturer will make replacement tubes available for them.

Thanks for the insights.

I'll be ordering some stardusts soon. I don't like the style or hearsay on the CE3s, so I don't plan on buying any of those.

I've been infatuated with the CE2s for a while now, though. I've bought a pack of the brittle, thin tubed ones, and a pack of the smoky, thicker, softer tubed ones. I've been using the first from each pack in rotation for over 3 weeks now. The newer rev one is starting to decrease in performance, now. I dry burn them every few days, as I typically use somewhat dark VG juice that gunks them up quickly.

I dug out my box of assorted syringes the other day when I was cleaning the brittle one and noticed a small crack. I was going to replace the tube with a 3ml syringe body, but ended up locating my grommets as well, and decided to make a 5ml tank. Was super easy. Two short pcs of 3ml syringe (top and bottom of CE2,) with a 12ml syringe section between them, sealed to the 3ml sections with grommets.

I'll be interested to see what they bring out next. :)

Is there any chance you'd be able to provide pictures to accomplish this? I've been looking for a good filler-less system for awhile and haven't been very happy with tankomizers (even the ego-c style). The best looking option I've seen were these CE3 XL Clearomizersl, but they don't have the lower resistance version in stock so I could try it on my ego batteries. No idea how 2.6-2.8ohm performance would be...

But yeah, CE2 tank system would be awesome, I think. Top-coil for warmer vapor, fillerless... I want it! So yeah, if you have a way to describe or show how it's done (even linking to a guide if I just haven't found it) I'd really appreciate it!

I've been using the Vision eGos for a while now, and my oldest one has had well over 100ml of juice run through it. I finally took it apart and cleaned it for the first time yesterday. Took all of about 5 minutes, and it vapes like brand new again.
To be honest I have been a CE type carto hater from the get-go, it just seemed like I spent more time fixing them than I did using them. Now it's my carto tanks turn to sit and gather dust.
However the Vision eGo won't be for everyone, they are what they are. The high wattage/voltage folks will hate them, but at 3.7v for the LR's and 4.2v for the SR's they are about as good as it gets in my book.

Hi, I posted a thread on the tank mod that I made:

    http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/tank-mods/279210-another-simple-ce2-syringe-tank.html

Another that you may want to consider, that can be bought (or made,) and accomplishes much the same function is the Acorn tank mod from Parkes Vaping:

    Acorn Tank 2.4-2.6ohm

It's pretty inexpensive, and uses cut off metal-shell CE2s. There is a pretty good illustration on how to make something like those on post 55, here:

    http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...3-tank-mod-youll-see-today-6.html#post2788856

    Good luck! :)

I Purchased some of the Stardusts about 2 weeks ago. They're definitely a nice product, but they do react to some juices by cracking after a few days. The thing is, I think they're worth experimenting with, if you have the patience, about what juices to use with them, and what juices not to. I've been using the eGo-T tanks since I started vaping 7 months ago, and I gave the Stardusts a shot (what the hell; they're only about $6 a piece, which is cheaper than a pack of smokes where I live). I love the ease of use, and they deliver a great taste. I'll probably stick with them for a while, until I get the itch to look around for something else, but that's liable to be a while....

We got some Vision clearomizers yesterday (to go on our Ego-Cs) and they're amazing. No leaking whatsoever, work great, hold a respectable volume of juice, and taste incredible. The wife is hooked, and I need to order more. I'm still trying out the Smoketech DC tank, but I think I may end up back with the clearomizers as my go to. I tried all day and couldn't get those things to leak a drop.

Thanks for posting those links! I've really enjoyed reading on these types of mods and may have to try it out. I'm sure I can work with a metal fabrication buddy to make something a bit more long-term, but this gives me a lot to play around with for now! I've only tried CE2-style clearomizers once, the very early Volcano-branded ones, and I didn't like it. I like all of the ideas, and I think this type of system resolves issues I had with them in the past.

For the record, I may go ahead and order the higher-resistance CE3 XL Clearomizers I saw... My birthday was the 17th so I bought a ProVari, heh.
