Gacjr (guessing sir?) when it comes to clearomizers you either love or hate them. When they work they deliver excellent flavor and vapor. When they don't, burned taste from wicking problems, leaks, and broken tubes with certain juices. For me they've lasted longer, but only because of wicking issues. Chain vaping with clearos doesn't work...

I chain vape all the time with clearomizers. They need a tiny bit of modding to work really well. and after modding they can leak if you lay them on their sides. They clean up very well and last a long time. The taste is the best I've found in any device. I don't use anything else after trying many different types of cartos. I'm one of those users that love them.

What kind of "modding" has to be done to them?
Where do you get yours?

I see MyVapeStore and GoodJuice has 'em. Do you recommend one over the other?

I'm thinking this is the modding you're talking about.

like this, but I don't bother cutting that center ring. It's also easier to just pull off the tube than digging out the bottom ring with a paper clip. Fluff up the wicks where they enter the ceramic atomizer piece. Just a little pulling up of the wick so it is thicker right there.

Hi,

I'm new to vaping. Have a Halo G6 starter kit using cartomizers and just stumbled upon clearomizers.
Anyone use these ? How much better are they than cartomizers and how much longer ( if any ) do they last?

Thanks.

Clearomizers are ce2 cartomizers. They also come in stainless steel. The advantage of the clear ones is that they are easy to take apart and you can see into them. The disadvantage is that they can crack and can come apart.

The stainless steel ones have a very long life. I still have some in use from a year ago.
Either type when they are working are about as good as dripping. In fact they can be used for dripping by dropping juice directly on to the coil. That's how I test new juices.

One of the problems with ce2's is lousy quality control. More often than not you will get one or two per box that don't work right.

I am one of those who hatem...... No matter what flavour i tried, it was only there for about two puffs, then some peanutty taste takes over and gets worse by puffs until 5 minutes later they taste burnt, even though the thing is full... I tried to mod them by failed miserably and threw them all away... No TH whatsoever.. just peanuts... not for me... Hate those things.. Im pussled by those who say they like them..

I get the ones from here

FLüXomizer CE2 Cartomizers - GotVapes.com

these have a frosted looking tube. it's much stronger than the CE2s with a clear tube. those ones can crack easily. MYvapestore looks like the new tubes, Goodjuice looks like the older breakable tubes.
+1 for Fluxo's. GV is on the cutting edge of getting CE2's made more durable and performing better. To add to the quoted post; they have fixed the leaking and cracking issues with the latest versions.

Just curious how long ago did you try them? Were you using the plastic or metal ones?
TH depends on the juice and how many watts coil is using but if the cartomizer isn't working you aren't going to any TH.

i tried a 5 pack of some, i think they were from nhaler.com

they sucked imho. vapor output was horrible, i got ALOT of juice backfired in my mouth. that being said i could have been doing it wrong. but the whole experience turned me off of clearo's. shortly after i tried boge 2.0 lr carto's and that's what i vape exclusively now. i get the perfect th, flavor, and vapor output with those carto's, so i have no reason to try anything else at this point. it is my sweetspot. :)

Think it was around march or april. I dont know anything about the watts but my juice gives plenty th at 25mg nic. If i use bottomcoiled cartos..
They were all the metal ones. Didnt bother with the clears as its same build inside.. or it was at that point.. But offcourse alot can happen in those months from then till now.. Like when Kanger first released the horis carto, noone would try it because Kangers old types were crap, but when some other manus started making them, under diff name, they blew up and are now the most popular carto afaik... But im not gonna give topcoils another go because the bottomcoiled ones work great.. If it aint broke dont fix it.. Its only if you have a problem with there being filler inside, i would recommend trying them to anyone..

Yeah, I feel the same way about CE2's.

They work for me but I think they still have problem with quality control so in general I don't recommend them. Especially the stainless ones because you can't look at them and tell if the wicks are defective in some way. While the clear ones can still come apart and leak

Watts are a way to measure the amount of power you using. Lower ohms and or higher voltage deliver more power to the coil. Hence more hit, smoke and flavor. A high nic level may give a bit more hit and more important it helps avoid a craving for analogs. It is the ohm and voltage combination more than anything else that determines the amount of hit and vapor.

I use the G6 and have tried GotVapes newest Fluxo but didn't care for them. Couldn't get rid of the burnt plastic taste no matter what I did. I've pulled them apart, cleaned them, fluffed the wick, cut the silicon piece and still have a problem with the flavor. They do give a great throat hit and over all feel, but for me, the taste gets ruined.

Currently I'm waiting for a different vendors site to come up to try out his cartos.
