I have been using the X2 batteries for a few months, but I purchased my first VOLT/SI Clearomizers this week. There were no instructions or any papers at all. I received the new ones with the longer wicking. I filled the first one about half full last night and it worked flawlessly. I removed it from my battery and left it sitting mouthpiece up.

This morning when I picked it up, it had leaked about 1/3 of the liquid out and there was a puddle under the clearomizer. Glad I did not leave it on the X2 battery!

I read a tip here in the VOLT forum that you can either tighten the rubber ring or take a rubber ring off an old clearo and add it so you have TWO rubber rings and THIS stops the leaking......?? Has anyone tried this?

Any other tips to stop the leaks? This is sad for a brand new purchase ; ' (

had this happen to me a couple of times.
what i found was i got juice down the center and it just passed on thru, now i am more careful and it has not happened again.

But the OP said the clearo leaked about 1/3 of a half filled clearo....that sounds like more fluid than what the air tube could hold. Plus, he said it had vaped flawlessly before disassembling it for the nite.

Having noted that, I don't have a clue what's going on here. That clear needs a closer inspection.

I've had one do this. They say to lay it on its' side when you take it off the batt. It's not going to do it when it's on the batt. Now I just lay all of mine on their sides when they're not being used.

Guess I may need to start doing that. I always leave mine standing up when off the battery and have never had it leak. Whenever it's charging I just unscrew them and sit them upright without issue. Will standing it up really cause them to leak or was it just a lot of juice inside the airway section? Hit 4 weeks with this same clearo and not one leak ever.

The long wicked ones can do that with thin juices. My guess is that since the wicks are in constant contact with the juice they just keep wicking and the thin juice is able to drain down the air hole.
Keeping it on it's side when you aren't vaping it will mostly stop that happening. I trim the wicks down (to about the 1.6ml fill line) since I hold my batt sideways when I vape anyway and don't need the wicks quite that long.
